Also just got a Dartmoor Primal for my daughter and seems really good value and fun in both sizes.
Eldest daughter also got a On one Scandal which she loves although the paint chips really easily
I have the Santa Cruz chameleon in the 29 variety but comes in 27.5.
It was a really change for me but love it now so much so I have decided to get rid of my short travel Yeti.
A great bike for fun stuff and long day rides.
Cheers Ofked
Hopefully sounds about right then.
Never look at the stock headset as any good anyway.
I Amy have even found a whole bike that might be worth it.
I would have loved a non boost version as we have all the spare kit to go on it!
I was using smooth but it was the waiting time for it to properly set when my daughters were racing and needed a quick turn around. Also nearly always forgot to get it on the night before for best application. Ended up going for Peatys and love it and the way it kept the chain clean when the rest of the bike was muddy.
Did a trial pot for our 4 riders in the house and will probably always use it now on all bikes.
One the chain is clean it is simple!
My existing van is about to be scrapped due a expensive knock so just about to do a new van so watching with interest. getting the toilet in seems the hardest part and essential apparently. Have a look at race space vans for ideas. really interested in layouts and photos for 4 birth sleeping and 5 seats for travelling.
Another heads up for Hunt wheels. Had an issue with a free hub and they sent a replacement straight away after a brief message on their facebook page. About to get a set for my road bike.
Well the van is back and has 4 correct injectors. Apparently Ford have identified the serial numbers on the dodgy injectors so now should be all good. this explains the multiple failures. Apparently one van had 9 dodgy injectors fitted.
Hopefully all sorted!! You have to be optimistic.
Ford have now agreed to replace all the injectors but there is the dreaded back order. They have no explanation as to why they keep going in the same van!
Absolutely awesome guys. Just to throw a spanner in the works eldest daughter broke her arm at Antur ‘Stiniog yesterday so unsure on whats happening! We will go at some time so will be looking into these.
Thanks again
Cheers guys for the in-depth detail. I did get the feeling the 130 might be slightly different on the ups etc. It is definitely one or the other for me as I want to keep a hardtail for coaching at my local club through the winter. It looks like I will try and get a demo for a bit and take it from there.
The final option is to ride the plym valley and ride the many miles of trails in Cann and Spanish side and then head to Hooe woods for some good flowy trails with a slog up on Murder Hill road to get back to the top!
Cheers guys!
It seems that it might be the cruciate or lateral.
They believe it was partially torn a few months ago when they diagnosed arthritis without a scan or X-ray. Hence it was weak.
No pain relief prescribed but A and E was packed and full of fruit loops. Don’t know how they do it!! One guy was wandering in every room trying to nick stuff while waiting for an op and generally annoying staff and security
Iain. Mias has changed their course to focus more on the coaching and progression of coaching. I did the level 1 BC which went well but the process to obtain a MTB level 2 is quite prolonged and didnt cover us for our planned sessions.
Really worth looking at MIAS or equivalent using non BC insurance. It is very practical and focused on progression. Got my certificate in 3 days. You do need a 16 hour first aid course though.
Mick
We as a club have gone through the MIAS level 2 which now moves towards coaching as well as leading. It seems to covers us better for actual mountain biking with kids. We have up to 50 kids out each week all year round. BC proved good paperwork to use and we are going to get different insurance. BC awards tend to focus on car park stuff. We have had to seek legal advice due to BC not really being sure how to cover us.
