I do and it’s better than 80mm, much better than 120mm.

I bought a singlespeed set in march, SS hubs on stans flows 29er rims, build and performance is solid, no discernible differences with the hope pro\flows wheelset I have been riding for the past 2 years (bearings were shot after 1 and a half yrs).

Can’t comment on durability yet, but considering the price difference I’ll be satisfied if they last me 12 months.

Hey bikewhisperer, why is the SA better?

    because of weight

Interesting, I have both as well (plus a M775 set that I’ve sold) and think M595 have more power. Certainly the M595 are brand new and have brand new pads and all, but I don’t remember the M775 to be as powerful out of the box.

I would recommend a visit to leelikesbikes for technique pointers, a mastering mountain bike skills purchase, and a visit to bikejames.com as well for a db combo program. build confidence to corner on any tyre!

I have owned 3 dedicated ss frames so far, Fisher Rig (EBB), vassago jabberwocky and on one scandal (track ends, the latter is still in service and my 2nd favorite), but the frame that’s been working best as a ss, and also in general is the paradox, which is not a dedicated frame. nevermind the added weight, short and stiff chainstays give a consistent advantage when standing, sprinting, climbing etc.

Not available frame only – i know I tried

I found a good deal on the xtc2 not long ago, one could have bought it, parted and sold everything but the frame, kind of a hassle though.

You can’t imagine how much I miss my scandal, pictured here in rohloff mode on the swiss alps, but usually run as a ss. Hopefully the new build will help 😉

ps I hear the new on one carbon frames are kind of ok too

I just ordered from them and delivery was pretty fast. Be aware that they ship with DPD so you won’t be able to arrange a redelivery to your local p.o. if you miss it, you’d have to go to the DPD depot.

don’t know if things have changed in 2011, but I’ve never had any issues with my 2010 reba team u-turn and 16″ scandal

    edit both 29ers of course

I wouldn’t buy another Blackburn personally. First one failed

same here, my blackburn mammoth 2 stage pump failed miserably after 2 months or so; when it worked it wasn’t all that great, the finicky head retention system and the lack of a handle were annoying.

Actually found 2 of them in the classifieds, both my size, but the price tag seems a bit high, I thought at freeborn it was 399. Ok it's a Mythic, but who cares for the name.
