I wonder dogmatix are you pushing this adgenda to satisfy your own prejudice. I asked on the other thread, are you a UKIPer?

Yay! Smash the commie state by buying up cheap Chinese carbon! Do your bit for the repressed worker!

    Exactly!

Its a illogical argument, the reverse of your fears will happen if we buy direct. By buying direct, we raise living standards and hence wages in chaina, and all these jobs will come back here, where the difference in price will just be the shipping.

These protectionist fears are perpetuated by the middle men because it is better for them to keep living standards and hence wages cheap in China, so they can carry on exploiting their willingness to work for naff all, and our willingness to pay through the nose.

Please accept my apologies dogmatix, I was just havng a cheap shot based on your name, which is a little obvious..

A huwei is what most of us ride right now, it’s just had its price inflated by a middle man.

Oh thats bollocks, you are just making this shit up based on your own fears. Do you vote UKIP?
My hubby works in engineering, since the recent cost rises in China (mostly due to wages), many of the previous offshored capabilities have now become viable to onshore again back here in the UK, and this trend is rising. Globalization is a good thing, equality for all, otherwise we are just happy to carry on buying tshirts from primark for 99p on the back of some kid getting paid very little.
In reality Hong Fu make more money out of selling to us direct than they do supplying SC and the like, so its better for them. All power to them.

When was the last time SC or any other company gave a moral fig about us the customer? Never. So why should we care about them? As long as its legal and possible we should go to the lowest bidder, and make all the others think again about how they are going to serve us better for our money. Thats what capitalism is all about. Competition.

Bah, what drives conditons are the demands of the people. It’s too late for china now, its already open, their wages are rising all the time.

The reality is that SC and the like are just ripping us off.

The free market si the capitalists idea. I’m not going to get sucked into believing protectionist bullshit.

My conclusion from this study is that the rationalist are driven to anger and hostility by the ability of conspiracy theorists to defy logic, ignore real evidence and constantly confirm their own bias. Fair enough. I daily have to suppress the desire to handbag a chemtrailer, I’ve resorted to putting bromide in his tea.

Myhermes. Cheap, will collect from home, work, yor ou can drop off at any number of newsagents etc.
You need to accept that its going to take 3 days, because that is all that they do, but my experience is that they always deliver in 3 days.

You could use DCS who offer a next day service for 3x as much, except that in the small print it is not a next day service. And they have shitty CS, are rude and basically I would never ever ever give them my other halfs money again…

Husband claimed for a mobile phone screen last year, this year some companies declined to quote for a renewal. Which is a bit of a scare.
