I managed with Mavic 319 no bother.  I done trail centres ardmoors on them with no problems. The stand sorted out any problems with pours tyres and any leaks.

I did use a bit plumbers mate on one of the valves as it had a slight leak at the hole.

I was also worried incase it come off the rim but never did only had one burp but I think a wheel with inner tube would have exploded.

I just wNt to cover the carbon where it has flaked.  Was just worried that the solvents in nail varnish could hurt the carbon.

I’ve just got the 661 rythym pads nice and light but wouldn’t save u from a heavy impact.

I gave the bluegrass d30 knee/shin pads and they are excellent.

Wished I bought a 2.6 Mary for the front instead of 2x 2.35.  I only had 19mm rims when I bought them though.

Wont get to try them out for a couple of weeks due to work.

I don’t think I could get a grip.  The other side screwed off.   I would have thought that there would have been a way to stop it spinning 😀

I don’t care for the roads but you just get used to it. I only ride on them when there is no off-road alternative.

Ive seen my mate nearly get wiped out by a truck as it didn’t see him till last minute    It nearly tippled over with swerving to miss him .

I know that sometimes we are hard to see but there are drivers that genuinly hate cyclists and don’t give a **** about them.

I would just use it and enjoy it mate.  If you have never used 27.5 wheels you won’t know the difference.

I just bought my son a used cube 125 which is 26” wheels as he isn’t very tall.     I road a 26” for years as did everyone.

Now that most people are riding 27.5 they have introduced boost size hubs which are only 6mm rear. And 10mm front wider.   It’s just a money making scam imho.   I do prefer 27.5 but I wouldn’t have sold my 26” just for that reason.

I use carbon post on my giant dropper as it doesn’t like to be nipped up tight and it stops it slipping.

There is people ride the trails I seen this on strava but not many.   It is also frowned upon by the land owners.  Also there are lots of hikers up there that I would imagine will be on the trails when the event isn’t on.

I wouldn’t like to have a bad off at the bottom of section 5 on ya Todd either it would defo be a helicopter job to get you , that’s if you could get a signal on your phone 😂.

Nice one I’m sure it will be mint and if it was cheaper I’d have had one.

The only thing I believe with the proframe is I don’t think it has a ratchet dial to adjust for size I thing you have to just put bigger pads in , I may be wrong though ???

I’ve had a giant revolt for 4 years and it’s been spot on.  Not the lightest but tough as boots and the chainstay design and carbon fork make it pretty smooth.

Hi oldtalent you must have had the mk1 parachute did you ?  My 2018 one has plenty padding on chinguard and is dh certified not that I would wear it for full on dh as I’m too scared to do it 😀

    Hi mate.

I haven’t tried the fox but own a parachute and a switchblade.

I could wear the parachute all day even when it’s warm and will probs be wearing it all the time on my MTB in future following an accident with half shell on.

I find climbing with it no bother.  I did ardmoors and the only time I took it off was when pushing/carrying bike from end of section 5.

I have only used the switchblade once and it felt pretty well vented as well but it was pretty cool outside .

I was in the same quandary but the fox was too much money for me but glad I got the Met.

I have a 58cm head and the medium just fits so if your head is any bigger I would opt for a large.

I didn’t know you weren’t meant to use the hall of ya foot on flats.  Are you meant to use the arch ?

    Cheers bent udder 👍🏻

I know what people saying about defeating the object but I would use it without the wire most of the time.  But if I did want to go for a longer ride I alwasys have a power bank in my pack which I could utilise.   I have loads of the magishine copies but the fact that the bikehut one comes with GoPro mount will be spot on for my helmet and less wobbly than my current light.

    Hi mate

cheers.   It’s not my bike my friend has bought a frame and it didn’t come with a shock. Norco doesn’t list the size anywhere.    It’s just I have a spare rp23 and want to know if it is right size.

I mean would they stay on the rim when deflated ?   I’ve got tubeless ready wheels and tubeless easy tyres but if i let all the air out without sealant in they will pop off the rim.

    dazzzzbo

I always just leave a section of the tyre popped out and pour the sealant in and never had a problem.  Sometimes when I let all the air out the tyre it pops off the rim I only use tubeless easy tyres thigh bit ust.   Woukd the tyre stay in the rim with ust tyres ?

I can’t get an angleset as far as I can see for my bike adventure it’s 42mm id at top of head tube.

Been thinking about the bushings and the comments that it skackens the seat tube angle.

Woukd dhortening the shock not have the effect of steepening the seat tube angle as it will be coming further forward ?

Hi cookie did you get sorted with the angleset?  If so can you let me know which size u got please

I bought a PSP for my son when they first come out from eBay from a seller from Leeds.     When the PSP come it had been shipped from China and we had to pay £48 customs charges to the driver or he wouldn’t give us the PSP.

    The seller refunded me though.

Cheers lads.   The ones I was looking at come with free DU bushing .  My shock is nearly new I assume I wouldn’t have to change the DU ?

    Cheers

I couldn’t make them unless they were made out of wood 😀.   Did it affect climbing much ?

Cheers lads.   I seen the 185 55 shocks.  I suppose in a couple of years when everything is trunnion mount they will be more commonplace and cheaper.
