Cheers leffeboy – Only problem I see using the LineIn is I need 2 1/4″ mono jacks to go to a 2to1 converter than to a 1/8″ converter. I’ll need to build a support structure for that lot sticking out the back. I guess I could find a short patch cable …
Thanks guys.
He already went through a Beinn20 (they grow so fast!) but I just couldnt spend the huge cash for the 24 knowing its only a short time before 26 is needed.
CK – thats a bling nice setup. Confirms I can put all proper kit on the front end. Shortened SID how? Still 24″ wheel?
Warwick uni so only an hour away from me.
Will be interesting to see what are the chances of me getting Driving duties versus being a person-who-pushes-the-zebra-crossing-lights-button!
Lummox – thanks. Seems things SHOULD be mostly open at weekends, except Penhyd which is permclosed. I’m hoping someone who’s been there on a recent weekend can post to. I think we’ll do W2 on Sat, and then maybe head to cwmcarn.
Blaggers – overrule your wife and join the dark side
Yeah – I’m getting to the standard point in time that everyone gets to after 3 days of ‘internet research’ – the “F^£% it that’ll do” stage.
Pick one that looks nice and add a pump when I win the lottery.
fair point – but still trying to avoid the blowing of budgets by adding a pump and all assoc plumbing.
There must be ONE that will do ok at low pressure. The hot tap at the sink positively blast out, ok they’re another 1m lower so 0.3bar ish, but surely a good indicator.
davesport – but…i’ve got a standard 100litre(?) hot water cylinder, so a pump will raise things to 1.5bar, shower will run at 15 l/m I guess, which is going to empty the tank in 6 or 7 minutes. That assumes my cold water fill rate is high enough too.
I too came across the faceplanter lad at the drop. Much to my surpise my 8 yr old lad then nailed the drop and proceeded to goad all other hesitators with ‘come on you can do it, I did and I’m 8’. Now that’s pressure.
Laddo amazed me today. We did whole of monkey and FTD. Can’t remember it being as busy before though!
divid – shhh, I’m just waiting for someone to come up with the songs I want to play, then use this thread as evidence to force my bandmates to do exactly what I want. mwahahaha…
bluebird: scratched stanchions – so likely to need a new top half. My plan is to get a decent used fork, repair/service the old fork myself and put it on the wife's light-use bike.
My 04 Orange5 climbs great. No bob with the original 3way swinger or with a 4way coil swinger since the 3way died. Hadn't twigged that the geometry changed much over the years.
nuke – confused (never been here)
is "singletrack" different to the "XC routes". I presume you mean the hills have DH routes up and down em but if I stick to the routes on this here Singletrack (http://www.singletrackworld.com/trailguide/uk/south-east/the-north-downs/) and in the cakeride link above, there's a chance they'll be less cackmired?
muddy and slow? bugger. Presume there's no alternative though.
geetee1972 – I can see Holmbury hill, can't find Pitch hill on the map – I can see "Tower" and Leith Hill. A hook up on Monday would be great if you don't mind being guide. Email in the profile.

" PLEASE NOTE: bicycles will only be accepted if suitably packaged. The maximum weight of any of these items is 18kgs*. "
I reckon last time I flew my bike bag weighed 30kg.
18kg is a joke. Excess baggage for a 30kg bike bag would cost £120 !!
Has anyone been stung by this 18kg limit? Or is it down to how sweetly you smile at the check-in girl?
yeah, I was going to give them a bell (since the don't seem to have an email address) with the frame number this week. Just thought STW would be a rich source of techy help too
Spent 2 weeks in the Lakes in Jul/Aug.
Grizedale was great for the family (biking and walking)
Did you get up to Whinlatter? Again – good for the family and I managed to sneak off and do the Red – utterly fantastic scenery and some awesome descents. Must work out how to show off pics on STW.
Got an OS map ride in too – hike a bike up Garbor pass and grin all the way down the other side.
