D side is 3mm gap away from cup
    ND side is flush

Do i just choose my own spacer arrangement to get it right?
Or is this gap where an adaptor should be?!

    No.
Ive been seeing that adjuster collar adaptor thing on my google findings.
The crank arms just say ‘e-thirteen’, theres no mention of ‘trs’ anywhere.
have they always had that adaptor? Maybe its an older version.
    Their website aint much help…

Any opinions on the planetx’s Parkwood 27.5?

The whyte is on the list. Looks good value. Might be a bit long TT. They also do a Compact model but it’s a bit more XC.
Tend to avoid steel for weight although Cotic probably lightest of all steel builders. I’ve got a roadrat and its bullet proof.

Can you help me with a list options:

    650b 27.5
    Head angle 67ish
    130Ish fork
    S or XS frame
Like an Orange Crush but less scary price. Im searching the classifieds for a used one.

@Jack. Sounds like you were the ‘bike rider guy’ who met my friend’s son Tom in Grenoble hospital spinal unit the same week. Doctors saved his life and he is on a similar long long road to recovery. Looks like youve got some incredible friends around you to support you, Good luck mate.

    OP. In a word. No.
Sourcing small frames and air forks, machining long cranks to make them short cranks, adapting nonmatching drivetrains by the power of bodge, building light 2cross wheelsets, for road, mtb and cyclocross bikes for 2 growing kids has basically taken over my life. And shed. It never ends. It’s awesome.

Got 26 FLOW on Hope hoops, running with tubes, and have had huge problems getting any of my Conti, Schwalbe, Maxxis tyres on. Similar tales of woe with biker colleagues. Lube, fairy liquid, teeth gnashing, thumb breaking, lever breaking experience. Not in a position to throw them away and get non Stans, but won’t ever go for a Stans rim again.

I live in Derby, my family are all into bikes, can’t wait for the velodrome, and this decision really %^$!£@s me off. Ironic that the track layout was already an utterly compromised L-shape, to keep the twitchers happy, that it was almost not worth it anyway. The council approves it, twitchers lodge an appeal and ‘the delays’ are a nice excuse to u-turn. There are so many other bad council decisions that these nimbys don’t get involved in. But oh no, some cyclists are getting some funding for cool high quality useful stuff that anyone can use. They must be stopped. Save the toxic waste dump.
    Gits.

So, to report back on my original post.
Schwalbe speedway pro are pretty much the one and only option I found. As it turns out these are really great cross tyres, bizarrely only marketed for speedway and not even listed on schwalbe’s website.

Talking to the guys from Zepnat, they spotted this a while back, ordered a nice big batch and actually supply their Moda builds with them fitted.
So I’m sorted but disappointed that Moda keep this particular detail very quiet from customers and even the stockists.

Yep. Definitely 650A. The road version has 650c. Rang the dealer who confirmed wheel size and knows of no knobbly tyre other than googling like the rest of us.
Woody, good find, might actually have to get em posted from USA…

Help is obviously as rare as a 650A wheel…

You know there is at least one person who has read this thread and is now armed with new knowledge and mistake-avoiding info. Very quietly.
I am happy to help Anonymous One.
I shall now mostly be patenting the Fork With Integrated Race and will make billions. 💡

Yeah yeah. Laugh it up fuzzballs.
As the Great Sir Lord Tarrant says – its only easy if you know the answer.
And it is all sorted and running beautifully smooth now. Thank you.
Lucky you guys don’t know what I do for a living or you’d never fly on a huge commercial jet containing large quantities of jet fuel and engines that achieve temperatures hotter than the sun again. Happy holidays!

I think both BA and VA 747s are same age fleet, they’re all noisy in economy.
Think I’ll probably go BA, as the airmiles are easier to spend.
And hope for one of those ‘good days’

    Giant XTC in extra small.
Or any 26″ wheel frame where the top tube carries on past the seat tube to the seat stay, so its one straight line from headset to wheel.
Then add an old air fork.
Both can be got from ebay for less then your budget.
Thats what I did for my 10 yr old anyway.

Yes. Disk Utility whirred away for an hour, then told me it had succeeded in getting files readable but failed to make the drive writable. Then helpfully told me to back it all up while I still can! But no way can I backup the TM backup, too big.

Seriously, of the specialist shops i would browse and buy in : 1 bike shop, 2 guitar shops, 1 Apple shop, 1 camera shop, ALL are closed on Sunday. And ALL closed by 5pm in the week. It’s annoying, but it saves me lots of cash.

The high street could open when I’m not at work. And all of Sunday too. I could go to the shops then. Like the supermarkets twigged years ago.

No jetwashing, even got through those purging grease ones. I put it down to peaks and lakes grinding paste and crap sealing systems. LBS fitted too.
And yes, steerer tube has fretting tracks. Don’t seem to be a problem, but would probably annoy me if fork was a hyper expensive one.

OpenDNS – had not spotted that before…looks like it could be v good.
Presume it does not care what service provider you have etc?
