Just got back from the alps the xt’s/slx’s that people were using seemed to be the best choice both for stopping and pad life and the 1 finger stopping power cut down on the thumb/finger pain as well, these would be top of my list

Used to run M4’s,great modulation and stopping power, switched to mono mini’s for weight purposes, still great stopping power but less modulation, tried some xt’s,fantastic anchors but as the others have said they are very on/off with very little modulation,so if you like eye poppers, get the xt’s or if you like to be toutchy feely get the M4’s.Simples

Hydraulic brakes are better than rim brakes thats why,my chain is pretty quiet and the only maintenance is a quick squirt of oil but seriously, how do the belts cope with the clag?

    daznal

Can you get a “power link”for a belt or do you carry one of those emergency fan belts that you can get for the car?(sits back trying to understand why any one would want to waste cash on some kind of nichetastic drive system when chains seem to be pretty good anyway)

Mmm for the gloves to be waterproof the inners cannot be connected to the outers or the stitching would cause leaks.Ive got a pair of sealskinz and the liners have never come out, must be lucky or have super slick fingers.Try sanding your hands with 1200 grit wet and dry to remove any grippy rough edges.

Once sank a speedboat on the way back to the mainland from the Orkneys and had to be pulled out by the local lifeboat crew, does that count as being rescued?
