the authorities could only identify the shooter using his DNA…. that was a pretty RAPID result, as they said that the aforementioned shooter was not known to them…. they must have had his DNA somewhere on the database…

this one got folks going…. ”

I was out on my bike yesterday & lately I’ve been thinking I’d prefer a long travel lightweight e-mtb as I ride a lot of natural enduro type trails.
To save some weight before I’d consider changing has anyone here in the UK tried just charging their battery to 50 or 60%”

The banknotes we produce will always be worth their face value. Even for banknotes that no longer have legal tender status. If you look closely at any Bank of England/Scotland banknote, you will notice it contains the ‘promise to pay’ inscription – our promise to honour the stated face value of our banknotes for all time.

I have been plagued with Arthritis in both my knee joints, The surgeon told me that My tendons/ligaments and cartilage are all in perfect health and there was nowt he can do for me at this time but eventually I will need knee replacements….. it was really painful for me when out on the MTB , I was struggling to keep up with riding buddies and to be honest it was just no fun anymore due to the pain….I had resisted numerous suggestions about getting an ebike…. and I held off for a s long as I could…. to be honest my mental health was at an all time low.It was last September when the owner of the LBS offered me a FREE ebike hire…… what a difference it made to my biking…. for the first time in ages I was biking pain free….. I went and bought an ebike at the beginning of October last year…and to be honest I have not looked back….no pain and longer routes have been opened up to me……best thing I have done so far…..loving my biking once again…

Arthritis in the knees gave me the choice of either riding a couch for the rest of my days or riding an ebike……I bought an ebike and now I can keep up with the youngsters once more….

65 year old, and now with dodgy left knee…(possible 3 year wait for knee replacement)…I bought myself a set of resistance bands, and I use them 6 days per week with Sunday rest… Monday is chest-abs-pushups, Tuesday is bi’s,Tri’s, Abs and pushups, Wednesday is Back, shoulders, abs and pushups, Then I repeat the same for Thurs,Fri, Sat… then swap body part exercises around for the following week….I also do 6 days per week easy seated 30 min spin session on my turbo trainer in the evening (low gearing and light resistance but still enough to have me sweating) , I have Wednesday evenings off from spinning….also have my calorie intake set to 1600 cals per day (though it’s not the end of the world if I go over this or fancy a take away or a pizza)…can get a tad boring…. but I tell myself that I only get out what I am prepared to put in….

The term “junkie” originated from the 1920’s when heroin addicts would sell scrap metal and other junk to pay for their habit.

I must admit that I am enjoying the Prime series… the actor has captured the essence of the book’s character….way better than what TC ever did…

and has anyone noticed that Detective Findlay is one and the same actor that appeared in the “Party Rock Anthem” music video (handing out the earplugs on the street)…..bloody sad that I recognised him…..it was his mannerisms that made me realize that I had seen him somewhere else…..

I look forward to another series….and also I didn’t enjoy the last 2 Reacher books…. Lee Child’s brother has added a new unwanted dynamic to the titular character….. just doesn’t feel the same Reacher to my mind….

“Whatever happened to Borris’s Bridge?” that was always going to be a non event, due to the millions of tons of WWII munitions that was dumped in Beauforts dyke, munitions still being washed up along our coastline here…..

we have been complaining for years about the sky high prices on the north channel routes….. scandalous…. we paid £311 for a car with 2 passengers back in December 2021…. P&O was even more expensive that Stenaline at the time….£386 IIRC….

as a Local, I have been over 3 times in the last 12 months…no border checks if travelling on to Republic of Ireland….no hassles at all…. do a price comparison between stenaline and P&O and also go through topcashback… Stenaline takes 2.30h whereas P&O take 2 hours (all depends on your final destination 🙂 )
