As BigJim suggests, simply turning up with a spade and hacking out a trail will do nobody any favours.

Additionally, actually galvanizing others from an internet forum to follow suit is hopeless. people will always agree its a good idea when sitting in their cosy office bashing a keyboard to bits, but ask them to put any cash up front or expend significant effort and they melt like snow off a dyke. The inners chairlift thread is a perfect example of this.

I think someone put it very well on one of the other threads about a helmetcam incident, that for the sake of getting to work 20 seconds early you’d actually endanger someones life to make an overtake. Personally, after seeing good advice on here i do not let them have this opportunity.

I had similar problems last year with an agency tryin to get me to provide info to prove who I was. They aren’t allowed to do this, I fought them and financial ombudsmen found in my favour. 100 quid compo from agency. I managed to dent the door sill on my 200 on Friday night, after failing to spot my bike crank was being held by my thule roof rack instead of the down tube 🙁 cue reverse out of friends drive and bike slipping out of its holder and smashing into side of my car. The dent is noticeable but apart from that its only surface scratching which will correct out. Not so sure about the dent though…

Anyway the point was it could have been a lot worse, but it didn’t stop me kicking myself because the paintwork was almost pristine before that.

our 2 year old CKCS loves this stuff but i wholeheartedly agree the “silent but violent” ratio has increased since he’s been on it. i can’t even blame him for my air biscuits any more because his are so uniquely acrid you know them a mile off..

i loved the way our pup used to go like a tramp eating chips for 40-45 mins then conk out wherever he fell for an hour. its surpising how much you can do in an hour..

just a word of warning about SKY bigyinn.

i recently transferred to sky for telephone and BB and because my exchange is LLU Sky didn’t use my broadband MAC code to migrate ADSL (they couldn’t because mac codes only allow you to move across BT infrastructure, not between BT and a 3rd party)Basically sky took me off BT infrastructure and plugged me into their kit. Since the MAC code wasn’t used BT have slapped a £30 broadband circuit cease request on my former ISP which they are in turn billing me for. They’ve also taken their 30 days notice from the cease, instead of when i requested the MAC code. all in all about 40 quids worth of extra cost to migrate ADSL.

I’m contesting this with Sky as we speak.

Shame, because up to that point it was a really slick process and the product is great, bb has been fast and speeds are as good as i got through BT / Eclipse internet.

I think most of these tv programmes could be condensed into about 10 minutes of viewing.
