nah, the lambos take it so far.

i think (most) modern cars look better – the e-type for example is just ugly IMO

The Grand Prix thing thats on before it looks worth a watch

it is, pretty moving scene at the end with a driver trying to rescue his friend from a burning vehicle which was upside down. theres a nick drake track used in it which i now cant stop listening to either.

+1 on dave being a good bloke and bona fide bike shop owner.

just dont leave an unopened bottle of single malt near him and fall asleep, as one of my friends found out to his cost 🙂

muller fruit corner. they took the fruit out, so you have to put it in yourself and they charge you for it.

    get:
    drinking
why men find the female form beautiful

    dont get:
why we keep drinking when we know what a hangover feels like
how women could possibly find the male form beautiful

lets not confuse crackling with pork scratchings though! crackling is awesome where pork scratchings are wrong. i guess because crackling is hot/warm its acceptable.

discos are great too and they follow the STW-approved methodology of blue for salt and vinegar:

    scampi fries are awesome.

i presume we wont go near pork scratchings?

    horrible things…

my apologies D-S, went to the shop to check and you are quite correct.

Steady on though, all those crisps must have raised your blood pressure…

    🙂

i also love the smiths minus the salt. braw.

right. google hasn’t turned up anything so lets go.

first off, plain old crisps and salt.

Ready salted, lightly salted or just salted? Got to be a red packet.

    Next, Salt and Vinegar.

No poncy balsamic or cider vinegar allowed, just plain old vinegar. got to be a blue packet i’m afraid. Interestingly Walkers use blue for salt and vinegar fench fries.

    Thirdly, Cheese and onion.

Green bag, no variant on the onion or cheese – theres no need to be too specific.

i’ve actually bored myself writing this.

has anybody made a ready-reckoner that displays crisp flavours vs colours used, split by manufacturer?

I really think if its not there we should make one, and start sorting this mess out for the Tories.

kettle chips for me are a bit too greasy and crunchy.

i like the red sky crisps and McCoys are great if you ignore the nutrition advice on the back.

I also like smiths crisps that you salt yourself, chuck away the salt and you’re left with greasy potatoes.

oh an artichokes on pizza are awesome.

do you like having sex ?

if the answer is yes, then subconsciously you want kids.

Do you like masturbating? If the answer is yes, then subconsciously you don’t want kids.

my thoughts exactly. i must really not want kids. 🙂

Just to add a different angle here. Just because one or the other person wants kids doesn’t necessarily mean they will be able to have them.

EDIT – what i’m saying is its a dodgy premise to bin a relationship (or indeed proceed with one) on the basis that you will definitely be able to give her a child and vice versa.

Tough call OP but I think you’ve already made your mind up mate.

paragraph 9 on that page – commercial insurance but i think it serves to prove the point.

yeah, thats what i thought ^. You can’t admit liability on behalf of your insurer.

    @toys – no worries

    davidrussell

I cannot accept that it is fraud to admit liability, or admit that you do not know who is liable, no matter what the circumstance.

I’m not saying that admitting liability is fraud!

My point was straigtforward. You should not accept liability, irrespective of whether you think you are liable or not. Encouraging someone to make a claim isn’t fraud either, but i would very much doubt that anyone would recommend doing that, per your scenario above.

    davidrussell

Yes but what about if you are no expert in the law and cannot make a judgement if it is your liability or not. So you could say
“perhaps legally we might have been at fault, maybe you should make a claim and let the experts decide.”

I have always been led to believe that you never admit liability at the scene (from an RTA perspective at least)so this would be no different.

interesting point that, if the judge accepted she wasn’t drunk does that mean she hadn’t been drinking, or merely that she wasn’t drunk. I’m sure an insurance company would contest it if there was any alcohol involved.

    davidrussell

even if she had insurance i dont think she would have been covered if she was under the unfluence.

    davidrussell

“Well what we do now is exchange details and you make a claim on my insurance, it will be fine it was my fault.”
That is not fraud it’s honesty.

its only honesty if you abmit liability because you were liable in the first place!

where are you? If you’re anywhere near birmingham then look up a chap called fred at BTM performance – knows the F4r engine inside out.

Again Cliosport is a good forum for advice on cambelt changes.

The same place Honda has been finding them for years…. In the 80’s a CRX would belt out 167bhp from a 1.6 naturally aspirated engine.

I think some are a bit dubious of the Renaultsport ability to get more out of their 2.0l lump because in all the incarnations from 172 to 200 they’ve only managed another 18PS, never mind BHP. I think the engine is quite highly tuned already which ties in with my earlier comment about being hard to get big gains. even with an exhaust, remap and cams you’ll be lucky to see 10 Bhp from that. only throttle bodies are pushing the clio 182’s over 200 bhp and they are pretty impractical.
I think to get that level of an increase there will be some serious rework done or go down the boost route.

edit – pic post fail. my corporate web polis dont let me see anything these days.

This is bad but by far not the the worst. some people just know how to ruin a car.

vxr’s dont steer, they wait for the road to move 😉

    Former 182 owner here.

    Pros:
will give most other cars on the road a pasting, and give all but the most boost-happy japanese cars a good go. Generally great fun to drive.

handles well in all conditions and can cope with snow (i had michelin PE2’s and rated them very highly)

reasonably economical if you drive like miss daisy and VED isn’t outrageous.

    cons:

dont bother if you like a solidly built cabin, rattles will drive you bananas

not cheap to eke out big hp gains (but tbh if you want that then look elsewhere anyway)

insurance is rising on them as they are now cheap enough to be owned by people who like rearranging roadside furniture

older examples can cost lots of money to repair – dephaser mentioned ^ is coming in at a grands worth of work to fix.

I sold my 182 earlier this year and got a 200 and dont regret it, but as a fun car the 182 is a good option. If you’re after pace then buy one and strip all the weight out of it, its the easiest way to free up bhp on them.
