BA is a great city with loads to see and do. In Patagonia, El Calfate is the main tourist town but El Chalten is a small town right at the base of Fitzroy and there is loads of good walking there. I enjoyed Ushuaia too, if only for the fact of where it is and for camping in Tierra del Fuego national park.

All my information is about 20 years old but I can dig out my diary if it helps at all. I’d go back in an instant.

Thanks everyone, some great suggestions! I’m staying at the central Travelodge the night before a charity trustee meeting so really just want somewhere that isn’t soulless, food isn’t that important as I’m sure I can find chips somewhere. . Vocation sounds good as I love their beer.

The bigger question is why are people putting all their dirty dishes in the sink/basin? Surely you then need to empty it out so you can wash things in the right order?

I’ve not seen that behaviour but my Vivoactive 4 has stopped giving notifications for WhatsApp only.

Previously I found that deleting data on the phone for Connect restored them but not now.

I love our little Dachshund/Jack Russell cross but have had a really difficult couple of days as he’s hurt his back and we’re worried IVDD. Thankfully he seems to be getting better but it’s heartbreaking to keep him confined when all he wants to do is to run.

It depends what you want to get out of it. To learn about managing projects I’d say APM foundation for two days then use the knowledge and go back for either Agile or PRINCE2 if you want to learn a methodology, or APM-PMQ to learn more about managing projects.

Agree that it depends what it is. I’m interested in principle!

I’d not be sure that the forum itself would generate sufficient revenue to make it worthwhile. I don’t read the mag much but am happy to support the folk and the community.

Pop to the chemist and get some proper emollient cream (Diprobase, Doublebase etc.) as they’re the moisturisers that a doctor would prescribe. The pharmacist will be able to help as eczema is pretty common.

Well the 7pm stage 5 B ride felt pretty much full gas from the start – not helped by my habit of chasing moves.

I never really liked New York until I rode it in a group just now. Possibly because I was breathing too hard to really notice the scenery.

I bought a second hand Tacx Flux S from Ebay as I couldn’t really justify the cost of new just now and it’s great. Streets ahead over the old wheel on dumb trainer.

Tbh this really shows my age but M&S. Not old man, loads of different styles and they actually fit properly. I’m only 46 FFS…

Having never owned one I can only offer a perspective of using other people’s. I’d be inclined to go for one that uses ESE pods (they look a little like tea bags) as they seem to me to be the most environmentally friendly, loads of people make podsband, I think, should be compostable. Might only be good for making normal black coffee though. Other than that the in-laws Dolce Gusto seems OK.

There is a Charity Bike place in Exeter, down by the Quay near the climbing centre. They have Bike stands and tools you can use, you have to book a stand in advance. They also do a Bike jumble sale every so often.

This is Ride On – I can often be found there on a Saturday sorting through donated parts. We’re not really that fussed what’s donated – in the worst case if we can use it then we get (a small amount of) money for recycling the metal and we can make sure that the stuff gets recycled properly.

Any reason that it had to be new? I bought a Tacx Flux S from Ebay.

I’ve got a plug in Bluetooth to FM one languishing in my garage if anyone wants to try one for free. It’s otherwise destined for e waste as its not worth selling.

I asked this question a couple of weeks back and ended up with this https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/BAPODWHBB/podsacs-waterproof-handlebar-barrel-bag?gclid=Cj0KCQjw1tGUBhDXARIsAIJx01kJKi6bPeu8nmr7U1z0YiZAuRImBtHaA_KNOi03NkJOr1qoNBJ7BPoaAs4JEALw_wcB#BAPODWHBB-BLU

You can stuff the dry bag less to reduce length and the harness doesn’t seem to mind. For £10 I’ll give it a go whilst perfecting things.

I’ve been with Pact for years, mainly as they do decent decaff beans for not silly money. I had a look at alternatives but ended up settling on Pact for weekly deliveries as they’re so easy topped up by others when I fancy a change.

I’ve actually got a big button plug in, non cordless landline that you could have for nothing. It’s just taking up space in my garage.

I’ve got an M Part Bob Yak copy and it works well. It was about £100 new and works fine for a week’s shop or a tip run. If I was using it more or for longer trips I’d get a proper Bob Yak or Carry Freedom (or just a cargo bike) but for what I use it for its perfect.

Thanks everyone. Taking my phone is because I often listen to podcasts whilst running and I’ve not quite got to a fancy watch with Spotify yet. 90% of the time I take little other than phone and keys so I use a cheap elastic belt to carry them.

But if I’m going out for longer and the weather is changeable then it’s more pleasant to be able to stash a windproof somewhere or take off gloves rather than just cope. Equally I often run and stop now and again so being able to take a warm layer can make it more pleasant.

I’ve bought one of the OMM ones so will see how I get on.

How heavy is he? I transport our Dachshund/Jack Russell cross in a Rixen Kaul front dog basket. The basket only holds up to 7kg because its klickfix but I’ve got it on top of a front rack to support it.

If this link works then you can see it…

There’s a podcast on Spotify called My Dog’s Favourite Podcast that we use when our one is left alone. It seems to work.

You can get lactose free natural and Greek yoghurt at Tesco. Coconut yoghurt isn’t bad either. Have a stroll down the free from chiller aisle.

Once you’re on top of it there are loads of cheeses that are lower in lactose – I tend to find harder cheeses better.

I’d go for an Air. I got a Pro a few years ago to be future proof and it’s good but, in retrospect, I’d prefer the lighter weight of the Air.

A bit of a stealth for sale post but I’ve got a Bluetooth Microsoft Designer keyboard and mouse set that I need to list on ebay at some point. Nice, compact and quiet keyboard, used for a couple of months until I loved jobs and the new work laptop has bluetooth disabled! No idea how much I want for it yet.

Particularly as everyone already has a unique identifier in their National Insurance number (don’t they?) and you have to give that whenever you start a new job.

I had one fitted to a Focus of mine and it worked really well and just like factory fitted cruise control. It may still be in the garage if you want the kit, you’d likely just need a different wiring bundle to connect it to the ECU.

My partner recently got an Oppo A7. 5000mAh battery and looks to have minimal bloatware. Too early to tell how long the battery lasts in real life but that’s a good chunk bigger than my Oneplus 3T. I’m pretty impressed.

I’m definitely being a bit thick here (doing funding applications has fried my brain) but what is the third tax payer?

a limited company- its a legal entity but not a person (or a voter) – but it pays tax on its earnings and also collects VAT for the government too.

That makes sense, thanks! I figured it was something like that, just couldn’t put my finger on it.

This is where it gets a bit complicated because ‘tax payers’ aren’t just people. Theres two people resident in my house but three tax-payers. The non-human one pays more tax than the two humans ones put together. And it doesn’t even get to vote.

If you’re in Devon then I think the Bike Shed in Barnstaple may have one. I’m very curious about them too as they look like they meet a lot of my needs.
