I couldn’t agree more, but neither do I want fatknacker wasting taxpayers money until he gets his pension. There is too much slack that needs to be taken in, the current system is inefficient so another solution must be sought. Privatising spome elements is a start. Believing that if it isn’t the current way then it must be the polar opposite without even considering the middle ground is no way to react either.
Where does the lowest bidder come into it, no one in the tendering business goes for the lowest bidder, do they?

You’ve lost me CaptJon, effieciency, which you claim to be stupid, is not about being the cheapest, it’s clearly about achieving the greatest return for the investment made with the least amount of wastage. And as soulwood has so kindly pointed out, we can see the problems of how inefficient low paid security services can be.

Up until now I’ve been pretty spoilt with good riding from the doorstep.
I’ve lived in a major city with everything on the doorstep and the wilds with nothing.
I’ve just been looking at some flats in Salford Quays too. There’s what appears to be a nice one with views and roof terrace, perfect.

Most of my Googling on this tells me that you’d require a degree if you’re lucky otherwise an honours degree.

MBA without undergraduate qualification? Where?
Also with 20 years experience, I don’t think I’d bother with an MBA, except as a bit of fun.
As a mature Business Management Ba(hons) student, I didn’t find the degree course that taxing or that useful. Then again I don’t want to work with a manager, I much prefer being my own boss.
I’d look at the degree course over the HND and only look at specific professional qualifications if that’s the are you’re already in and trying to progress or something new for lateral movement.

I turned 28 a couple of days ago and she turns 20 in two weeks!

The older you get the narrower the gap becomes in maturity terms and therefore less important. It’s also a question of the personalities involved. It’s all about you and nothing to do with anyone else, if you’re happy, go for it.
For me, I was 40 and she was 26. I didn’t last , but bloody hell it was good fun. :-)
