TBH I can see why people aren’t sending CVs, with all due respect you don’t sell the company very well. :-(
    Thanks for your time.

Air conditioning to architects and specifiers.
    After market car parts.
Small plant and building equipment hire.
    Relocation would be my cost.
Are you qualified to interview me over the internet?

I’m both flexible and mobile, I’m willing to relocate for the right company.

Do you have a web for me to look at the company Mr Climber?
My email should be in the profile.
Do you know the salary and how many days holiday there are? ;-)
    Thanks.

but then again your job is to get a new job

I really must try and remember this, every time I hear it I think about how true it is, every time.

    What industry Mr Climber?
    Which end of the M4?
EDIT: Forgetting my manners, thanks for the links. :-)

I’ll be looking forward to it as I would any other olympics. Do I feel any better or worse because the games are in London? No.
They are the London games and London’s reputation is on the line. I just hope it doesn’t become a British problem if it all goes wrong.

Usain Bolt at 9.4 and 19 secs will be something to behold. Bring it on.

Their may well be a general fear of overtaking and their is a very British ‘queueing culture’

I think this can be supported by the queues of traffic that sit behind the marked police cars that do 65mph on the motorways. How they laughed.

    That is for extreme instances

If the slow driver is driving slower than you woulod expect them to be, they too are causing problems.
In fact, Scotland’s finest have it down as “driving carelessly and without due consideration for other road users”.
    End.

No matter how you dress it up its not the slow driver creating the danger – its the impatient one

Both have an element of responsibility.

If it’s not harmful then why does iDave have it on his red list David?

Is the red list eduspeak for banned, becasue I don’t think anything is actually banned.
Does not being beneficial automatically mean harmful? Or simply not the most effective way of reaching your objective?

You are saying no fruit, it’s for you to demonstate that fruit is harmful not for me to demonstrate that fruit has exclusive properties.

Has anyone actually said that fruit is harmful? 8O

I’ve read a few of these threads and the general consensus would be that iDave is on the right tracks with the insulin response stuff. I’m pretty bad with science so forgive me.
I started off at 85kg and more or less after a couple of weeks on the iDave I’ve my belt needs an extra hole. How this translates into kgs, I don’t know. As the missus is my judge, iDave gats the vote.

I never feel comfortable with these threads, I hope a good solution is found.

I’d be very happy to see what I do pay being used properly.

That’s going to be difficult as performance management has already been highlighted as being impossible, so the only answer must be higher taxes. If teachers refuse to have their performance managed, isn’t it fair that nurses do too? And soldiers? And I think firemen should be included as they were mentioned earlier, no? Let’s not forgewt the police….
So the only way is to tap into the endless supply of money….

The teachers I come into contact with through my daughters who are at school do a fantastic job and are undervalued IMO

I’d be happy to see my taxes increase too.

david – wouold someone really go to that much trouble to scam a few quid on here?

I don’t know, I thought this was how the confidence tricksters worked- by building up confidence.
A little bit here- good feedback, a little bit there- good feedback then bang! £200 worth of forks missing, £500 worth of bike, £1k+ worth of bike.
I think it’d be worth it and I think it’s something that’s done or similar (shill bidding) on Ebay.

TJ’s suggestion is a good one and has worked.

Doesn’t it only work if you know the poster? How are we to trust someone who signs up specifically to buy something? Or someone who has mates/multiple accounts?
Ad posted, mate “buys” it and leaves positive feedback thusly building the image of a reliable seller…

I didn’t read it all, but that’s absolutely disgusting. We pay enough taxes already and now we are to be charged for accessing public rights of way.
The best things in life are free??? The more I see, the more I wonder about this country. It’s all abit sad, innit?

if you can’t find somewhere to improvise locking a bike to, like we all did before bike racks appeared everywhere then you probably shouldn’t be wandering round ASDA without your carer.

How would a potential employer know your age? You don’t have to put your age on your CV.

I’m not sure I’d want to work for someone who could’t work my age out from the CV.

The rules here don’t really make sense.

    Amen brother.
I got a 1,000 year, or something equally ridiculous, ban for asking about Audi A5s.

I use a Canon iP3600 which gives reasonable prints and was used when customers didn’t want to wait a couple of days for lab prints. Then again I didn’t go over the prints with a magnifying glass and neither didmy customers.
Depending on what you’re doing, you’re probably better off sticking with a decent lab.

It’s a shame that the Irish gave away so many penalties, it was almost as if they couldn’t be arsed, still England worked had in getting the ball over the bar. ;-)

This is from a flat in Burnage/Whithington area, a touch too pretentious for moi.

You could always look north of the city centre. Some of it is actually quite nice. Running water, inside toilets, electricity, the lot!

I have heard stories that all three in the same house is a bit of a rarity.
Workwise I’ll be travelling and with a flexible timetable, so rush hour traffic isn’t going to be a problem.
    Keep the suggestions coming. :-)

How else can they be taken? I don’t know you well enough to pick up on your sublties. Anyway, you don’t actually want to hear anything that goes against you point of view. I believe the phrase is “I’m out” and good luck trying to change the world.

and grovel like mad to its owners even thoughtheir they’re in the wrong

You see? This is the problem. No middle ground, it’s your way or no way. Why do you see talking to the neighbour as “grovelling”, it’s not and until you can see this you’ll always be a loser.

You can please some of the people all of the time.
You can please all of the people some of the time.
But you can’t please all of the people, all of the time.
The OP’s change from 1st person plural (we need to sort out the problem) from the neighbour to the first person singular (I want you to control your dog) does hint to me that not only does the OP lack negotiating skills, they also fall into the third category above, as do some others.
If you choose to live among people, surely it is unreasonable to expect them to conform to your norms and values.
I would suggest that you go round and get to know the dog as I suspect you have done something to wind the dog up. My ex had dogs and I know that people who didn’t bother my dog wouldn’t get barked at. People who did, did.
I don’t have dogs becasue I don’t particularly like them, but I like to think I’m intelligent enough to recognise that I can’t turn my dislike of dogs into some kind of crusade preventing other people from enjoying dogs. I do have a dislike for cats though, it would appear that they do not discriminate when looking for a toilet and the mixture of children and cat crap is not a good one.
I hope the OP knows and controls where the cat is crapping before criticising others.

I have had issues with them over the dog as the problem used to be a lot worse, however they think because we got a cat (thanks molgrips hes brill) and the cat goes over to there’s we somehow did this on purpose to antagonize the dog, how do I train a cat to do that ffs,

As long as your cat doesn’t go in their garden and crap all over the place, or evencreate any problem for your neighbours, I guess you can demand that they control their dog.
    This place gets worse.
    100% YES, it is unreasonable.
