Lot’s of useful stuff in here thanks. Remember the lad is 12 and at Cannock my brother is happyish to let him go off with a few other mates and ride on their own as a group. They’ve still got lot to learn on trail/walker/horse etiquette etc

Have a look at Apache Spark which might fit your skill set. If I were you I’d probably look at a Fintec startup who may forgive the lack of analytics track record for the coding experience.

As soon as they start shouting out the registration plate number you know you’ve got a YouTube vigilante cockbag on your hands.

I don’t agree with this. I shout out reg number when using a camera as I cannot be sure the video has caught it. I don’t post my footage to YouTube it goes direct to the police who occasionally take action. I think your tarring of all helmet carrying cyclists who publish to YouTube as “cockbags” is disingenuous as many of them are simply trying to raise awareness.

Life is too short, just let it lie and crack on. Just like the dog thread.

What an utter load of bollocks

The guy did just that but she had to make the last point and put him at risk with her filming and potential incitement of passing motorists. If we don’t stand up for our rights on the road and just give in the tossers win.

Had a lovely night in our local looking out on Brixham harbour. Was especially ace to hear the drunk youngsters having a laugh and trying to chat up the girlies. They deserve it

I’d like a Pet but the computer I really want is a Jupiter Ace. I wanted one as a lad but had to make do with a Spectrum.

I’ve got ZX81s that are in need of love, most of the Sinclair range but looking for a ZX80 in good nick. Also have a selection of battery portables from Tandy, Atari, Amstrad etc.. Now onto Commodores with a Vic20 that joined the stable today. It’s addictive! Let me know if you want to sell any.

I was barked at today whilst road biking by an off the lead Alsatian and his Labrador mate. The owner was unable to call them off as the horse she was riding got a little spooked. This is premium grade fuckwittery that I’ve seen many times before.

The cover print was exceptional and I commend the decision to depict a woman as the main image rather than the usual male stereotype.

I suspect OP has an email account at siteground and this links to gmail. Siteground have much harsher quotas than gmail and may have auto-pruned. I can probably confirm this with an MX lookup @zilog6128 if you are happy to disclose email address to me. I can maybe help a bit with Siteground as an organisation I help run has its email done via SG and I took over it recently.

As a student into the whole Anarcho Punk scene – Crass/Conflict/Subhumans, Meat is Murder etc. (still am musically!) so went veggie – not had or missed meat or fish for nearly 40 years.

This was me for ten years but I lapsed when kids were born. Still feel guilty playing Meat Means Murder. I need to pack it in again

This made me laugh as I was commissioned to build the Tena for Men merchandise site when they sponsored motorbike racing. A real “why” moment but they insisted. I think we took about 4 orders

Our working cat has been on furlough since the beginning of lock down. He was lucky as he’s employed as opposed to his mate down the road who’s always worked cash in hand.

I built a proof of concept similar to this using osrm. The difficulty was being restricted to openstreetmap data as OS rights of way are not available in vector format. Garmin Basecamp can do some of this

Start saving. Prices have gone through the roof. We’ve always had one, done the motorhome thing then went back to a VW California. Europe is so much better equipped for vans than the UK. We do everything we can to discourage stays anywhere bar commercial sites. France has the opposite attitude with Aires and other infrastructure for those who just want to rock up.

It’s a big investment and you might not like it. For some the practicalities outweigh the romance so the rent first advise is sound. When I married my wife I’m not sure I signed up for a week in France with her suffering from the trots in our van. But we muddled through ..

Given its Totnes it will be the 5G rays that melded his mind away from the castle. To be fair it’s a bit out of town up a hill so not surprised many aren’t aware of it. Supposed to be massively haunted I keep meaning to ride up there at night.

I was informed by vet that spot on is not very effective.

Conversely my vet recommended it. Probably because it costs a bloody fortune

I’m ready to get flamed (lolz) but solo bike packing I cannot see any benefit from a fire other than something to look at. That is unless it is a big one then the damage argument goes out of the window. In years and years of bikepacking I’ve never felt the need. My bigoted view is that it’s an Instagram/Youtube/Influencer thing.

A great bike designer and builder. I remember the trouble Mark took to spec, build and test my Omega Radius so many years ago in his tiny Brighton office. This is sad news, he had tough times in business and maybe let a few down but was a lovely helpful guy. RIP Mark. I’ll get the Omega out in your memory

Genuine question but I assumed dog food was made of the shit that wasn’t fit for human consumption and comprised of meat that would otherwise have been thrown out?

Just by having kids you have done far more to damage the environment than I ever will I’m afraid.

Yeah but someone wanted to have sex with me, just saying ;-)

Comments like ‘dog walkers cause pollution by driving them for walks’ are just daft. If you weren’t taking your dog for a walk you’d be driving somewhere else to do something else. Think about how many trips in cars are made due to any leisure activity, especially if you have children.

No they are not daft. You do not have to drive everywhere FFS. You have legs, there are buses and trains. You have become conditioned to think you cannot move further than 100 yards without mechanical assistance. Just make better choices where you can. I’m not advocating a blanket ban on driving anywhere. I just wish that the attitude you display above was not the majority view. I have two children and the vast majority of leisure activities when they were growing up involved a walk or bike ride from our house. I accept that inner city flat dwellers may not be so lucky. But I see so so many Chelsea tractors rammed with kids/dogs that are clearly not from a tower block.

My next pet will be an electronic replica. No vet bills, power it down when you go on holiday, no ruined furniture, no piss on the carpet etc. Hopefully boffins are working on it now.

And cyclists who drive to ride, people who drive to walk themselves (yes people do that even if they don’t have dogs – the hills wont come to you), people who drive to work, drive to the supermarket, scuba divers who drive to dive, sailors who drive to sail. What’s you’re point?

My point is that all of these journeys have an impact but many dog owners do it daily as part of routine.

    ps. your
