Oh, and of course cushions… 4 people and yet 4,327 cushions have appeared… Or at least it seems like it!

I see BMI is basically a starting point for a conversation about weight… It definitely needs context…

I have a degenerate disk in my lower back, and I only notice issues when I get lazy and miss the basic Pilates exercises I have… I can get away with a 10 mins session several times a week…

Also given up on mayhem. We weren’t going to go last year either, but thought we’d give the new venue a go and wish we hadn’t bothered. (Did like the early descent though, stood there for a few hours watching lots making a mess of it…) Going to give the Erlestoke 12 a go… Would have done the torq, but the wife/kids have other ideas!

The most important thing I found in tri’s was knowing where your kit was during transition. Make sure its near a feature for easy location !
On that sort of length triathlon, don’t waste time on the cycling shoes, do it in trainers – sock are optional, I do put them on…
Counting should be fine ! After all what’s to stop anyone shouting “X laps to go come on !”
I don’t have a tri suit, I do the whole thing in my swimming stuff, adding a T-shirt for the stuff outside a pool.
Brick training is important – ride hard are go straight for a run… Feels very odd at first!

But then again, I have only done 3 so far, so use a pinch of salt for the advice! Alternatively I have finished in the top 5% in all three… :-)

I’ll go a lot steeper on skis board than I would on a bike, but I’ll ride much narrower stuff on a bike than I would try on skis

    this!

snowboarding, climbing and killing kittens, ok, the occasional round with the father in law…
But most recently super sprint tri’s, which are just fun !

Didn’t the ESF kill off the start on blades “Ski Evolutif” as the method was too quick and they did not make enough money ?

I’m still hiding behind my snowboard… As for the wife, she no longer needs to mug anybody, she knows where my wallet is :-(
Oh, then again there is the minor fact that she moved on to be a very competent skier very quickly thanks to those few days as a chav opps, sorry, blader…

There is of course the third option… Blades…
Instant learning curve… Transition to ski’s is much easier…
Got the wife to red runs on skis in under a week with just a few days on blades… and no ESF to worry about!!
Other that than I’d agree that boards rock when there is powder…
But as I have a board I would say that…
Err I also have some blades for the days when I’ve had enough of the edge holding burn!!
Going to go into hiding now for mentioning blades…

what about the cheap ones on eBay – are they cr@p?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331021559655

    these are £1.69 each…….
I bought some of those, they are ok, but I a bit narrow ,and not quite enough light for our kitchen work surface…
I have since bought some of these, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271326242978?var=570217353507&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

which are much better- better beam angle, and much brighter, but after much deliberation from her in charge, still not enough for the work surface…

People that hold meetings across corridors/pavements…
People that decide to wait at the narrowest point of a pavement, effectively blocking it…

Theotherjinv, I used to find that bit of trail a pain as i struggled on it, the solution I chose was practice….
I hope you had more that a few choice words with the idiot involved… Maybe getting them to join trail team swinley would be a good suggestion for him/her/them.
