By far the easiest way to find a leak is take wheel out & dunk it in the bath. Instant result.

I’ve had 2 vehicles paintwork damaged by main dealers “washing” them after a service so don’t think you’re getting an extra bonus there.

Sounds like it was probably down to your son, rather than the dog. BUT if it happens again & he is badly hurt then you’ll both have to live with your decision to keep it.

Not of his bits though, obviously.

How much for a local screen replacement? £75 for a normal ipad, no idea about the pro though.

Ive painted one of those wooden garden storage chests thet had previously been stained. Just gave it a quick rub down & used cuprinol shades paint. Went on no problem, looks good, seems to be lasting well too.

    Porkies.
We had 2 openreach engineers in the house for an hour last Thursday, & the guy across the street had them in for over 2 hours.

My dishwasher instructions say to open the door as soon as the cycle is finished to aid drying.

“Whilst possible, has any reader ever seen such a thing in the history of ever? Does your average sheep think “ee, I’m about to keel over, best find me a stream”? As Daffy said,”

As a long time trials rider in the lakes & dales Ive spent an awful long time in streams in the middle of nowhere, & I can safely say its very very common to find dead sheep in there, I don’t know if they go there for a last drink or slip in there & get stuck/injured but its a very popular place for sheep carcasses.

DO NOT drink straight from streams, I caught Weils disease (leptospirosis) from doing this & it was extremely unpleasant and has left me with ongoing issues 30 years later, im not sure any sort of filter would have helped but its not worth taking the risk.

Saving up to buy some “ballistic” suspension forks for my “suspension ready” Alpinestars, they lasted an hour then they were knackered.

Was in the park and spotted a Dad with his young daughter who had just that minute learnt to ride her bike, forks were on backwards.
Dad said they had just picked the bike up from halfords who had assembled it for them.
Seen loads of bikes like this since lockdown.

Do you mean trail bikes or trials bikes? Trials riders almost never wear full face helmets.

A solo mountainbike ride for me includes mud, roots, stream crossings jumps, drops & severe climbs littered with rocks & ruts.
A solo or group road ride on tarmac just does not compare. Simple?

I love watching the big road races, tours etc, the tactics are fascinating as is the judgement & timing of when to attack or let people go and the bravery and skill of riders who can attack on the descents is something else. But most roadies are saying one of the biggest skills required is riding close to a other riders in a large group at high speed? So for 99.45% of road riders that’s not required which leaves you riding tarmac on your own or maybe a couple of others. That certainly drops the skill required to participate way off the bottom of the list yes?

The skill is being able to do it at a reasonable pace (I have no issues with trials being regarded as a sport requiring great skills)

    No. That’s Fitness.

My take on it: could you Complete the same course as say, a pro roadie in a big race? Yes, easily (but much slower). How many people could complete the sections in a championship trial?, very very few as very few have the skills. There we have the 1st & last positions on the list.

Yes, mainly in the local dog $hit woods so assume its knob end dog owners. Most don’t care about leaving $hit bags around so dropping more litter on the ground wont bother them either.

    1. The Germans did not have air superiority. The Allies did.

Depends what you mean by superiority and when you measure it.

Plus the allies jet engines were at least in part thanks to german scientists.

Like sir frank whittle, that well known nazi inventor of the jet engine you mean.?

Sad outcome, saw the cherrypicker up there this afternoon as I went past, the chimney is absolutely massive, god only knows how long it took him to climb up there in the first place.

As above, contact the museum at east fortune, it needs rescuing before something happens to it.
If its from a Halifax that would make it very rare indeed I would have thought.
Halifaxes were based at Lossiemouth for a time during the war so possibly come from there.

My son has a Cannondale trail 24.
Discs well worth it after you’ve been through the bogs/mud/wet grass followed by a hairy descent.
