Had exactly this with a cracked feehub shell. Noise got transmitted through the rest of the frame & caused a bit of head scratching trying to track the source down.

My recommendation would be for a Kilburg Geochron with a suitable finish to match your kitchen. Always wanted one of these myself but like having friends; im not allowed:o)

As you get to the now blocked off entrance to Deliverance just after the hairpin keep going and you get to the entrance to Mild Peril. Was down it yesterday & it’s running nice. As above, loads of switchbacks which join just before the start of Redemption.

Can’t add much to the above. Repeated treatment with Frontline, Carpets sprayed once a week & repeated hoovering. Fleas tend to move away from the centre of carpeted areas towards the skirting so we paid extra attention to those areas. The flea comb also yielded good results and we got good at spotting the critters in his coat. Disposing correctly of caught fleas is important as they’re incredibly robust. Our cat tolerated combing if he was completely relaxed otherwise he didn’t take kindly to it :o) It took a few months but eventually they got the message and left.

    Good luck.

And one of my Dads uncles had two families. One in London and one in Manchester. 4 or 5 kids and two wives. Didn’t come to light until his funeral. I bet that was a tense few hours…

Funnily enough; I knew someone in exactly this position. Time was apportioned weekdays & weekends to either partner. Everyone involved knew exactly what was going on.

And to answer the OP’s question, I mainly forget to mention things which I may later have to rely on as evidence 😜 Seek forgiveness etc when a new bike mysteriously turns up.

I’ve just replaced the original Hope Pro2 rear hub & Freehub bearings with Blueseal. Can’t comment on longevity as they’ve just gone in like two weeks ago. The bearings arrived quickly from Trail-vision on Ebay & all felt smooth and like they had plenty of grease inside. These were half the price of the genuine bearings so time will tell.

Whatever you choose, use a rag to remove all of the surplus after application. This pretty much eliminates the black grinding paste scenario & gunked up mess that can accumulate on the chain & jockey wheels. The lubrication takes place inside the chain, anything on the outside is simply attracting clag.

    I am not a plumber/heating engineer.

If you’ve got pin holes appearing in two rads the others probably are not far behind. Possibly years of grot accumulated in there & the inhibitor either non existent or diluted out. The rads are corroding from the inside out & are beyond economic repair. You’ve been blessed by making this discovery before the winter sets in. If you’re going to the extent of draining down, flushing & refilling I’d be looking at the system as a whole & replacing the radiators as this is going to be an ongoing problem. The black scale that accumulates is incredibly messy if it escapes. If it gets into your carpets or furnishings it results in a truly horrible mess that’s difficult to clean up, so prepare with polythene & towels. I feel your pain but there’s little point making multiple temporary repairs. As a very minimum I’d be replacing the affected rads, fitting a filter to collect the magnetite/sludge, flushing and refilling with inhibitor at the correct dilution.

I’ve got two Mira Minilux showers installed. Both been excellent & no issues since installation 12 year ago. Personally I’d avoid anything installed inside the wall cavity under the tiles. As I’ve found out to my cost previously these can turn into a liability when a problem occurs. Mira have good spares backup from places like the shower doctor in Edinburgh. The Minilux valve can be removed using a small allen key if you ever need to replace the valve it’s a 5 minute job once the water has been turned off.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>The leaks I’ve encountered have not originated from between the seal  piston interface. They generally get corroded inside the seal groove & this provides a leak path for the fluid. Have you had the original seals out for a look?</p>

If you’re going to be drying the wood out think ventilation and air flow. I’d remove the front completely and install an upright if the roof is sagging. Extend the roof out to create an overhang this keeps the front of the pile dry. Use old pallets to stack the wood on.

Insects love wood  storage for nesting so remember to check every piece prior to chucking it in the stove. Mine’s like a hotel for solitary bees wasps and spiders :o)

@Davesport 2015 Ford transit 2.2. Doing 65 on motorway in cruise control. Engine went into limp mode with no previous symptoms and lost all power. Blew a hole in piston. We are told it is a problem on this engine, an expensive one, and is caused when an injector is over fuelling.
Van has done 53k and had every service by Ford

Really sorry to hear of your woes with the camper engine. Hopefully this can be fixed & the overfuelling issue located & fixed. :o( Are Ford picking up any of the bill? It would have been handy if it had gone into limp mode before it blew.

    Hope you’re sorted quickly.

Blew the engine up on the camper, had to cancel a long weekend riding in the Peak.

Ughh! That’s rotten luck. Can I ask, what engine & what went bang?

Wind out awnings are great in theory but have definite limitations. Mine winds out manually from the side of the motorhome. It gets used a handful of times a year as a sun shade if its baking hot. It’s approx 5 m long & can extend out about 3m. It can be supported on legs directly onto the side of the vehicle out to about 1.5m, any further and the legs need to go onto the ground. I’ve got all the tie-downs and other gadgets for securing the thing down, but if there’s any wind and it starts flapping it needs putting away. My two metre kite can lift me off the ground and fully extended the awning is 15 sq m so you can see the issue & the potential forces involved. I’ve seen about ten of these things flicked up over the top of various motorhomes by fairly light winds & the damage to the vehicle can be spectacular. Great asset in the right conditions & if you invest in the zip-in sides this can help with the flapping and the risk of a gust catching the thing. I’d never leave it extended unattended or at night. Great for sitting under in the right conditions but needs watching.

Probably leaking past the piston seal. Not past the piston but between the seal & the caliper. There’s a number of design flaws. The calipers aren’t anodised only painted on the outside. Corrosion starts in the seal groove & unless you remove the grot the leaks will continue. The other is that the calipers flex alarmingly when under full hydraulic pressure splaying the caliper halves apart. Don’t know if the latter affects the one piece caliper bodies. The effect of this is that the pistons end up skewed in their bores. All of the two piece caliper bodies I’ve had apart have been corroded under the seals. I think the flexing could be partly to blame for the seal failures between the caliper halves as the seal ages and goes hard. All of this can be fixed but it’s not economic unless you can do this yourself.

The DVLA website won’t take my card payment because it thinks that my Visa Debit is the wrong card type for the card number. I have also tried all of the other Visa related options that they give.

Anyone else had this problem, or more importantly overcome it as I don’t want to set up a direct debit which is the only other option?

Had exactly this two weeks ago. Multiple attempts and failures on my debit card but success using a credit card. I’m assuming it’s them.

Once a year! I have more than one bike so each post isn’t getting loads of use. All Reverbs, every one of them developed a bit of squish from new but this was cured by fitting the SKF seal.

    Absolutely not. That is ridiculous.

139 Rupees or £1.41 per month in India. So yes it is utterly ridiculous.

My experience of this. In the last ten or so years my back has been bomb-proof. The last six weeks I’ve been suffering. All the symptoms lead me to believe it’s a strain or tear in my iliolumbar ligament. My GP saw me within 2 hours of phoning, took bloods, urine and organised an Xray which was done 24hrs after she saw me. Follow up is in a week.

My advice would be to let a medical professional have a look. They’re there for a reason & it would be the sensible place to start.

Was using the excellent Viewranger until it got merged. Using BCN for offline mapping but the version I’ve got isn’t great for route planning. Backup is a Garmin GPS62s & paper maps. GPX Studio for route planning & GPX creation.

HSS drills sound like they’ll fit your need. Cobalt; great if you’re drilling tougher metals as they’re more resistant to heat & hold an edge for longer but also £££££. A good quality HSS drill bit can be destroyed in seconds but is easy to resharpen. A drill sharpener is a great idea especially for smaller bits as these are difficult to do accurately by hand on a grinder. Sharpening is another subject but getting yourself some cutting lubricant like “Rocol” will prolong the life of your drill bits a lot.

£0.02 If you already know exactly what you’re after then crack on. If this is your first purchase then the motorhome show at the NEC will help unravel the bewildering choice of what sort of size & layout suits you best as everything is available under one roof.

Good luck. I couldn’t do without mine.
