Well as soon as the cafe is open I'll be up for a bit of a Dylan special and maybe a Badger's 'sexy hot chocolate' if there is one on offer.

Got to be honest, never been anti-4×4, until last night. While we were stuck in the ice related traffic the **** in their 4×4's seemed to think it didn't apply to them and chose to drive on the wrong side of the road focing themselves in when a car came the other way. Most of the delay 2WD ws not the problem, cocks!

I went to see it yesterday based on this thread. I had no intention of seeing it before hand due to many of the reasons already mentioned by others. So I went with an open mind and thouroughly enjoyed it.

I normally hate this kind of film, because the CGI becomes the star, like in Terminator Salvation, but this was a triumph for subtlety. Good film, worth a cinema ticket and will not be the same on your TV.

I don't believe it is racist, but it is a double standard and therefore should not be allowed as too with one extra.

I cannot call a chalkboard a blackboard any more in case it offends, but I can call a wipeboard a whiteboard.

Better still ditch the political correctness and just get on!

I am worried that I may have one from the M6. Day dreaming a bit and averaged about 57 in a 50, so I'll let you know.

Yes I've bought a bike because its from my LBS and had cause to be grateful, having broken two frames and received great service from them – shame about the importer and manufacturer though! (Now a Cove hater!)

Ditched SPDs for candys, thought they were great. After two years the bearings and cleats needed changing, but a pair of new SPDs was almost half the price. Not quite as good, but near enough.

4 bed house, wife who likes to keep the house warm enough to make Satan feel comfortable. 3 of the cleanest kids in Christendom (loads of baths)£120 a month on oil!

    I think that's a lot.

I've spoken to a few who have broken frames and received nothing but grief. It took them four months to replace the first and they point blank refused to replace the second, despite it being the same fault they replaced under warrenty the first time and still being within the two year warrenty that they try to pretend is only one. Fortunately I bought it from a cracking bike shop and that's why I'm now riding a 5!

Having broken 2 Hustler frames and received the Cove treatment I've just bought a 5 because it was the closest ride to the Hustler I could find.

Great suggestions everyone. Plan so far: Start Day 1 with a bus tour and then do all of the tourist things starting at the east side of the city and walking west finishing at the Eifel tower, then try to find the alternative stuff on days 2 & 3.

Still not sure where to stay, but SWMBO is favouring the cheaper Ibis option.

Flights now booked, just looking for hotels and itinery!

So far, for accomodation we have been recommended the Ibis hotels in the west of the city, but we have also considered a 4* hotel very near the Louvre. This is clearly the more expensive option, but was wondering if that would allow us to soak up the atmosphere more rather than monster days of walking with the hotel being just a place to crash.

If he's never likely to go back keep it. If it's his local offer to repay.

I once booked a train ticket from North Wales to Surrey for two in time for a 10.30 meeting on a monday. As I was travelling on a rail warrent I thought I'd go first class and why not.

Ticket cost £420 each, I kid you not! Standard class £260 each.

    Solution, hire a car £60, fuel £50.

The edge units are very simple with just breadcrumb track logging. The Etrex is the more advanced system.

It all depends on the offer. They will not go down from now and as a new mortgage deal will have you looking at 4-5% on a variable then anything there or less will be worth fixing, though I gather the 'arrangement fees' are criminal at the moment so be careful.

Do Not tell the dealer! They will not honour the deal. I can't remember if you need a date of birth on the cars doccuments, but if you don't option 2, it has to be, but get your dad to trade it as his.

wtf does marital status dictate how much you ride? I have lived with my other half for years and we do what we want when we want to, unless we have a pre planned thing to do together. I would never dream of stopping her doing what she wants and likewise.

No, but the kids do. When I go riding she is on Mum duty and that's not fair all the time.

I get to ride half a day at the weekends and oneevening a week.

Given that you are in one of the golden professions join the TA. Then you can taste life and decide if it’s for you plus if you enjoy it but don’t want to take the full plunge you can still have some fun along the way.

Until we convert to the Euro we will never really see the benefits of being in the EU IMO. Its like joining a fancy golf club and then never playing. Costs a fortune, sounds good, but with no real benefits.
