Is solar powered being ironic and actually suggesting we do try it?

I think I may, where’s the razor blades and camel bak hose?

I had it done. Didn’t feel the first incision, but felt everything more progressively from there on in. When he tugged the tubes, as mentioned it felt like he’d put his fist up my anus, reached up and grabbed my chest from the inside and pulled. That was the first one, then there was the second side!

After he finished I passed out on the table having screamed like girl throughout.

Mind you funniest part was the face of the bloke waiting to go in!

How light weight? I have a Wild Country Zephros 2 1.6kg, £120 and I think it’s awesome. Been out in 100mph winds and it survived.

I keep toying with the idea of a shotgun, but can’t justify the why. I’d enjoy shooting game for a bit, but would probably get bored and the same with clays.

As said, aero bars with T track!

Yep, I had the same. I contacted them a few times and rather than say “it’ll be there eventually, sorry” they just kept saying a few days more. It did arrive, but took 8 weeks.

At their prices it’s worth the wait though, IMO.

Don’t laugh, I had this as a present and gave a reserved t’thanks’ but it really helped my back. Mine is posture related and I’d had physio for two years, lost weight, did all the suggested exercises etc. and this has been the only thing that has relieved/ prevented it.

Once again the STW massive comes up trumps, just upgraded my Elixir from 160 to 203 and needed the advice from here to do it. Cheers!!

3 bikes, 3 sets of Hope wheels.

Only problem I had was a cracked flange on a 2 1/2 year old wheel. I called them and it was replaced without quibble! Can’t ask for better than that!

Tried shimano, RF and changed the bearings for better ones with varying degrees of success. In the end ditched them all for a Hope SS and never looked back over three years, two bikes and sweet as a nut and I am a heavy sod.

    Hi Andie,

There are plenty of us in the area. I work in Ruthin and ride aplenty. For more of a local flavour head over and register with chestermtb.co.uk or nwmba.co.uk

Without wishing the be too autobiographical. Yes, almost daily since I was about 12. Clearly sometimes a lot more seriously than others and when it’s bad the only thought that has stopped me is the guilt I’d feel for those I’d leave behind. So whether it is or is not selfish I choose to think of it that way.

What type of crank remover have you used? I knackered the threads using a cheap on, but a mates Park one was able to find enough purchase to get the crank off.

    Worth trying though!

I’ve got an MOD one and used it in all weathers, from torrential rain to -14 etc. and it’s been great. Mind you I always use a bash a!

    An iPad
    Some Scarpa winter boots
    Gore tex trainers
    Multiple-fuel stove

    That’ll do!

I’ve had to miss an aunts funeral because she died at the wrong time of year, but for a grandparent any school should be willing for one day at least. If not you can self certify for up to three days, “I can’t cope…” should suffice.

Watching ‘Twilight’ is like being beaten over the head repeatedly with a large, fluffy gonk whilst a teenage girl reads aloud from a Mills and Boon.

Sounds strangely kinky, like a guilty pleasure that should not be spoken of.

SS now two years old, smooth as silk. In the two years prior 2 shimano, 1 RF and a couple of replaced bearings.

I think these threads should be renamed "man caves" as I affectionately refer to my garage. I must get some pics up!

    Shit luck.

If it helps my wifes dad would have paid for her at 19 leaving her feeling worse. My parents would have made me pay every penny back. She would move heaven and earth for her dad and feels homesick if she doesn't see him for more than two weeks twenty years later, I see my parents twice a year.

Yes I'm independent and she's a daddys girl, but I know which parent I want to be!

Chase orange, talk to her about consequences and dumb boyfriends, but be there for her if you can. Why allow this to ruin her uni years by deferring or being crippled with more debt than she will already have if you can prevent it.

    Good luck.

Depends on your commitment. On my undergrad degree those who worked generally got one grade lower than expected. The only exception being a couple of mature students.

I fly 100-150,000 miles each year and am constantly amazed that anyone bothers with noise-cancelling headphones.

I have some Bose QC and they are great. I fact my music is barely audible as I'm really just using them for some peace and quiet.

I'm from the midlands, now living in North Wales and I'm a zealot about the area. I hate big cities so Cardiff is out as it's too urban down there. Shrewsbury suburbs are ok and it's near the M6, but I just love North Wales for so many reasons it would get my vote.

Just looked at the Radbmx site, expensive. Try Winstanleys BMX, much more affordable models. Also my son just turned 11 and trust me they know a lot at that age. He will ask me anything and I mean anything, I sometimes suggest he waits for the answer, but if he insists I'll tell him. The few times he has insisted he wished he had waited, hence the butt plug comment.

Agreed with Ambrose, talk to the boy the more open you are the better. Though best not to mention butt plugs just yet.

Speaking of butt plugs, the bike, really? (nb bike snob comment) A BMX should last for years so get him one that will grow with him. They are not silly prices TBH.

I leave the traps set all the time with chocolate. It lasts months and every now and then you get the odd surprise when you go to pick up your bike.
