Seems to suit my short armed buddy well. Squeaks a bit though, well actually, a lot.

I use one, have done for a few years. It cleans far better than any ‘manual’ technique and all it takes is a couple of button presses. More effective and easier, call me lazy but thats justification enough.

Do you mean Superlight? No direct experience but based on my Heckler I’d say XL.

Mine required B screw adjustment, a first for all the mechs I’ve ever fitted. Once sorted then no different to the normal style.

Square taper – Bottom brackets lasts for years, my problem was always cranks coming loose which destroys the crank arms.
Hollowtech II – Bearings badly sealed so need frequent attention. Everything else about the design is an improvement over sqr taper.

I’ve an 06 Heckler, 18 months of riding in all conditions, washed whenever particulaly dirty (quite often around here). Overhauled the frame a few weeks back, found some corrosion on the outer races but the bearings themselves were only a little bit gritty. Full cleanout and regrease and everything was ready to rock again.

Hifi is a waste of money, what’s the lyric, you get more mileage out of a cheap pair of sneakers? Just another whole I’ve thrown my money into over the years, i think there’s more BS in Hifi than biking! Much goodness in Richer Sounds for less than £100 or if you’re near Sheffield I’ve got a pair of B&W 601s taking up space.

Another mech into the back wheel here (on Monday), damaged wheel, wrecked mech and snapped hanger. As if i haven’t spent enough on bike bits recently!
