I left virgin 10+ years ago and still have 2 virgin.net email addresses, even after they said they were going to close one of them down a couple of years back!

surely by statistical chance one of them must be an avid MTBer

Even if not they should be able to give an indication of when one will be along. :-)

10 months away for me. Presently sat in a Travelodge waiting to go pick up my preemptive strike midlife crisis 2 seat no roof sporty car.

Why a heated great knob? Well, because it’s so cold when you’re holding a heated steering wheel of course! :D

If you consider the primary purpose of a car the Nissan Micra could well be the single best car you can buy!!! (Yes, 3 explanation marks again :-)).

I had one for a month, quite liked it. The 1.7d engine was from a previous time but it did give character of sorts. Steering was bizarrely weighted but other than that it was fine, 1400l of space seats down which is the same as the Mondeo I had at the time and it did a good job of carting house belongings down the M1. Got to like the heated steering wheel too, though thought it could do with a heated great knob!!! The main thing I would be asking myself is is it cheap (owing to the bad reviews), that would be enough for me to buy as even the best examples of the type are still going to be crap.

Should’ve kept the hole in the ozone layer, all the CO2 could have escaped then…

For ages it was my Marin Rocky Ridge but then that was improved upon (not by as much as you might expect) by my Bandit 26. My Cervelo S1 is also really good for me such that I can’t imagine replacing it. Most disappointing bike has got to be the C456, just couldn’t get it to ride right.

Adding significantly to my figures ATM, if my new car is delivered on time next week that’ll be the 3rd in 3 months!

Puky ‘soft tyre’ was absolutely fine for the eldest, used from before 2 until a few months after 3. Transferred onto a Isla Cnoc without any bother.

Yes, slacker head angle, lower BB. Make sure your rear end/tyre will still clear the frame. I’ve fitted some to my Bandit along with Push tuning the float CTD shock. You should find lots of info in search.

Mine’s an Arkose 2, ordered late May 2015. I’ve not received an email, I take it I’m in scope?

Just sold my mk4.5 Mondeo. Bought 6 months old, 8k miles; sold at 4 years old, 48k miles. Nothing but routine servicing in that time, good car, I’d still have it if it wasn’t for a company car inbound.

I used IKEA kitchen wall cabinets as bathroom base cabinets with a sink on top. The panel next to the bath has started to blow a little on the edge strips where water has got to it directly (kids!), the rest of it is fine, no issues from steam. It was fitted 8 years ago. Way cheaper than bathroom specific furniture!

    In fact, here’s a piccy:
Since getting a Ford with a heated screen, I now get to freeze to death scraping HER windscreen instead!
Had to scrape my windscreen this morning for the first time in 8 years. Mighty Mondeo has given way to a company car, of which I could choose anything I liked, as long as it was Vauxhall. :-( Heated seats and steering wheel are nice though, but the gear knob now feels oddly cold. 1st world problems…

Impossible I’d say, unless you can pedal at 40-50mph on a still day. Anything other than aero drag will be pretty negligible.

Yale wireless, change the control unit and sounder batteries maybe once a year. I don’t think I’ve changed all the pir and door sensor batteries yet, and we’ve been in the house 10 years!

I asked them nicely in a ‘do I have to do a return to benefit from the reduced price?’ way. They offered vouchers to the total of the difference. I only noticed the price drop however as I was keeping an eye on stock levels for friends, we ended up buying 3 of the last 7 Trace forks they had.

I push tuned the CTD on my Bandit 26 for all the reasons you mention and it did make a big difference, more mid support but really supple on little fast stuff. In hindsight I may have gone for even more support, or the bumper kit but it was definitely a big improvement. They’ll have a second go at it within a couple of weeks if you’re not entirely happy. Bandit 26 has quite a strange leverage path apparently.

Why not just buy a new SV? I’m sure you can get them for £4k new.

Edit: Quick look on biketrader says £4.6k.

Crest on Pro2 (so light where it counts), 15-16 stone riding the Peaks/Wharncliffe etc. Amazing how they’re holding up, reckon I must be smooth as. Presumably not the stiffest but stiff isn’t always the answer.

Unintentional early adopter here (careful what ‘update’ you click on) and though it worked fine for a while, now it’s a freezing mess. Wish I could go back to 7. Can’t face rebuilding everything after a repair install at the moment either. It’s a pain. :-(

Lounge directly below the bedroom in the first pic, floor level probably in line with the top of the hedge on the opposite side of the road so view is available from the lounge. I was just upstairs at photo time!

True, though the land has survived the ‘permitted development’ review (or whatever it’s called), the council has said no development is required in the village and even if it was then other areas have been earmarked for it. Parish council pretty active on greenbelt matters too!

OK, thanks for that, perhaps added appeal buy little in the way of additional value. Makes sense.

That’s what I’m doing Tinribz, looking at what’s available around and about but it’s quite a confused picture. Estate agents have little idea as there’s only 10 or so houses similar to ours and they don’t sell often.

Let’s have another one then since you all did so well, that £230k house above is actually only 2 bedroom, we have extended to give 3 bedrooms. What premium should we ask for that? (Of course I guess the answer is to compare to what’s on the market as described above but I thought I’d try to work it both ways around). Cheers.

Fell out with hangouts after it started to refuse to show the name of some senders, despite them being in my phone book. Tried lots of potential fixes but to no avail. Use textra now, it does everything as it should.

    +1 to the OPs situation
+1 to the cause and fix.
