Thought the same, organising a test ride on Skookum but did notice the long chain stays.
Obvious price difference and the fact that i have straight forks. And slight weight penelty.
What is the tyre clearance like on on one as have 2.35 Hans Damfs on current SS.

Brought one earlier this year as you say great introduction to both 29r and singlespeed.
Have upgraded brakes, forks, bars, stem, freewheel and a few other components.
Not sure if was such a bargain
Only bike i use now, last time i rode a geared bouncy bike was back in May.
Rolls so fast and single speed has helped my fitness.

Rapid Rob (Cheap as chips) on rear and Nobby Nic on the front.

I use Bonty Muds on 26er so if they are half as good would be happy.

Had a email back from Mojo saying that there are too many different parts.
Has anybody just changed the lowers and fitted spacers to reduce travel.

Took the budget option and got Trek Marlin SS.
Have swapped brakes for Maguras and will upgrade forks but for just over £400 a great start to SS 29ing.

32:20 but only riden a couple of times think will change to 32:18/19 when fitness allows.

What length stems do you run

+1 Had problem with a tyre, emailed Steve and next day replacement arrived with packaging for return.

Recently fitted 36 floats to 5 not found any downsides yet but do run on the soft side.
Steering response is amazing with 20mm thru axle.

Had read previous reports on forks being the weak point. Had thought about fitting some carbon rigids

Fender Bender Mucky Nuts (From Charlie the bikemonger) on Both bikes and waterproof shorts

Bonty muds on hardtail
Swamp things on Full sus (42A on the front 60A on the back)
Muds offer a lot less drag with excellant grip in mud and on roots.

+1 for rinsing out with water then put in the freezer till next time.
