  • Time to make all car parks pay on exit with barrier control unless free. Pay and Display is too much of a money spinner these days.

Thers’s a perfectly simple solution when using an ANPR car park. Put a post-it note over your number plate as you leave. No evidence.
Take it off when you get to the public highway of course…

You don’t lose an hour of sleep, just get up an hour late.

Patrick Banks did a superb job on my old Ibis.

I was £10 short when I checked what the machine gave me. Luckily the bank was open so went in to complain. They turned it off and after a few minutes showed me a mangled tenner covered in oil.

Forget the idea and just do the Burma Road loop including Ryvoan Bothy.

I’ve just tried to get a new Rock Razor EVO to go tubeless. Failed miserably.

Perhaps they should start engaging with local clubs like MBUK did with me a couple of years ago.
I see the Exmoor route this month has a ‘walk the footpath’ section 🙂

When they cover your local trails has anyone thought why on earth they keep missing the best stuff?

Got another call this morning (from 00732 026494).

    “How are you today?”

Me: “Terrible, my computer just blew up”

    Them: (click)

The LEDs themselves last years. Unfortunately the cheap Chinese electronics that power them are crap.

For example, big solder blob at no extra cost…..

I used to work at a place where folks would turn down promotion as it took them over the threshold for paid overtime and it meant a pay cut.

Bought the 9-44 cassette for the ebike. Since it spends a lot of the time in the 3 smaller sprockets, the fact that these are replaceable separately was a major selling point.

I gave up (and so did the LBS) trying to go tubeless with a MM.

Chatel is near enough dead in summer.

2.8 High Roller 2s arriving in the UK this month. Should be fun.

Folks will be going in with hidden cameras and winding the bloke up. Expect some Facebook videos before long.

My experiences of Hawes in general are not good.

I managed to do the Burma Road loop (Aviemore) plus the extra bit round Rothiemurcus and Ryvoan Bothy. Had it on 50% for the big climb then eco for the rest. 36 miles and it ran out of power with two miles of flat tarmac remaining. Happy with that although being at the Bothy with only two red lights remaining was an anxious time.

It goes from 5 lights to zero much faster than 10 to 5.

I thought he’d been claimed by the 2016 mass cull. Obviously not.

It’s a Siemens built in dryer that has packed up. Been working fine in its confined space, so I won’t get a standalone one to fit.
I guess I’ll have to get it repaired, then when the washing machine dies, buy a condensing washer dryer.

…. er, that’s a washer dryer. My washing machine works fine.

b and q , wickes and howdens all do built in appliances

    Nope.
Built in vented types maybe, but not condensing.

Neither of those will do as the first is stand alone and the other is semi integrated….

….and a whole load of Strava KOMs to come.

Clockwise. Interesting as a night ride also.

Cranborne Chase this afternoon, including a very muddy descent of Winkelbury..

Don’t worry, we’ll all be riding e-bikes before long.

Nant yr Arian fireroad climb deserves the prize for most tedious..

Just park by the roundabout and ride up and down all day on an e-bike. What’s all the fuss about?

Lots of forestry work this year, but the trail pixies have been hard at work so still worth a visit.

I managed to get sacked with three months pay in lieu rather than resign and work the remainder.

I remember going down the stairs with my line manager behind me, then walking out the door without looking back or saying a word. End of 14 years.

Avoid anything with Steepletone on the front panel.

    I buy from CPC.
As the Royal Mail won’t carry these, they have to go UPS.
That means free next day delivery on the whole order which would otherwise cost £2.99

This old trail was running sweet today.

Haven’t had an angry confrontation for ages to be honest. There’s always those who won’t accept any amount of reasoning, to which I reply “I ride where I damn well please and I have no consideration for anyone except myself”

Blue 242 is what I use. Avoid the green and red stuff at all costs.

We don’t do bike hire but we’ll guide anyone anywhere.

    Steve does training courses locally.

    Cheers

One path for bikes and one for walkers. Or is that too difficult?

Good way of getting rid of any builders rubble lying around. Costs a fortune at my local tip.

Some bloke near me uses one. Bleeding obvious judging by the speed he goes uphill and the size of the hub motor.
