Yeah its normal, they dont do anything other than space the hub correctly, the 20mm axel fits directly onto the bearings.

neil853 yeah looked into those, but decide against it, they were very expensive (+£100)

I have this http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=47875 and it has been faultless, not dropped my chain once.

Hardest thing is getting decent chainring bolts, I ended up just making my own by grinding down the original bolts, but you can get the shorter ones from here http://www.charliethebikemonger.com/userimages/procart4.htm

    Hope that helps

I might be wrong, but if there is 140mm of stantions showing then that is there max.

Its a quick easy job to look inside, just make sure you check the service manual for the correct oil levels, and that you have some form of solvent to clean the oil off of the paint.

Havn't used one, and don't think I would be able to trust something that cheep! They are going to have to have to cut some corners to get it that cheep.

Does this mean that all of us that have a normal account are going to have to pay £4.99 shortly? That would suck!

Yes all non u-turn models can have travel adjusted internally, easy job.

Nitro Morse and wire wool will get the paint off,

Finish it off with wet and dry , and t-cut to finish, then you can use a lacquer.

Can get all of that from Halfords, horrible stuff though.

Yeah it should do that, at least that is what it does with me.

Another aspect is people taking more risk because they perceive themselves to be safer.

Great idea, alot of variables though, a system that you could send a text to as well as logging on would be good.

I think the last number on the pace model numbers is the recommended fork length in inches.

5 inches is about 130mm so they would probably be to long, but you can easily shorten them internally.

Might be able to make that, would be wicked to ride with a different bunch.

The gap shown in the following photo is normal?

If so means that cant use a chain device as the gap compleatly throws the spacing out.

    Thanks for the responses guys!

Im very perplexed, yes the crankset is GXP.

Is there suppose to be a gap on the drive side between the crank arm and the bb then?

    daveagiles

Yes the crankset is GXP, so your saying that the BB is wrong?
