A garmin edge 200 would do everything you want.

It could just be a rolling reset. Only taking into account rides in the last 365 days. With another tab for lifetime awards.

You will have loads of time to ride. Keep them both and make the most of it!

Had my RP23 done last month.

Transformed the bike, admittedly the shock had a dodgy seal and no dampening before.

Very quick turn around as well.

Possibly the best looking bike I have ever seen. But the price 8-O.

Johnhe, I guess you could. It wouldn’t be any different from a multi drop post (as long as the post is solid)

Conditions were great on Monday. Given what kingley vale and the surrounding area were like I would give it a few days before heading up there.

Just realised that this thread has had a bit of a revival.

You will all be glad to hear I am loving the five at the moment…

Turns out that the shock was badly serviced by Stendec. It has now been Pushed by TF, along with servicing the revelations and fitting a shadow plus rear mech it is back to being fun. Can’t get enough of riding it.

Makes you realise how critical rear shock setup is on single pivot bikes.

One that has snapped is hollow to just below the first hole, then solid from there up. Sounds like it is the same as you have Dekerf853.

Some tyres work really well, tubeless or not. Maxxis seem to work really well.

Tubeless ready, UST, 2Bliss etc… tyres work really well. Go up very easy.

Hardest part is getting the tyre to seat on the rim. I either use a air compressor if Im home, or CO2 cartridge.

Note: CO2 causes stans solution to dry up, so once the tyre is on the rim, I deflate it, insert stans, then re-inflate with air.

    +1 for freezing.

Much harder to get the stantions into the lower legs with new seals though.

Couple of bananas or some toast for me, otherwise I find by lunch I am totally ravenous and over compensate!

Know what you mean by over compensate, if I eat breakfast, but try and eat less I get to about 4pm then go mad.

These are all things that I thought.

I have my cereal before I go to bed, proper bowl.

Stops me getting up and eating cake during the night, which was a bad habit I had for a while.

@Tomhoward, thats exactly what I am finding. Sat here now, few hours after lunch and I don’t even feel hungry. Previously, if I had breakfast I would be eating biscuits at the moment. Interested to see how I cope longer term!

i also just stopped eating breakfast. gonna have a short break and then have lunch.

    Made me laugh.

Cheers for the help form Northwind and this thread.

Had the first ride out on the mech with the adapter. Works so well.

The clutch just works. No more noise from the swingarm!

Well all sorted with gravity dropper now. They are sending out a replacement upper part for free and have sold me the remote kit for £34,which I was planning on getting anyway.

    Top customer service.

Northwind, would you mind measuring the piece you have made so I could get one made up tomo?

Well I use my other turbo backwards, and it’s fine.

Was planning on converting this one to a turbo anyway at some point, now would seem to be a good time.

Response doen’t fill me with confidence mind. Reads to me as “this will probably happen again unless you use the one without a hole drilled in it”

See your point honourablegeorge. However, there are no other seatposts that come in 27.2mm size that are even remotely as reliable. Even if I had a bigger diameter seatpost i don’t think I would swap, given the issues that friends have had.

Gravity dropper have got back to me very quickly with the following response:

“We will still cover this under warranty. We do now recommend customers with this issue use a standard drop with the Descender model. If you would like to keep using the multi drop option we would recommend upgrading your post with a cable assembly and install the post backward facing.”

Impressed with the service, despite the issue with the post.

I have gatorskins, got them on my Genesis day-one 2 months ago.

I have had 5 punctures in 1600 km or so. Tyre has barely lost the central ridge, but is absolutely shredded.

I put it down to poorly maintained and swept roads and using panniers.

I think im going to try the armadillos, I’m fed up of changing tubes.

Dont, whatever you do, try and use the Slime tyre strips. They caused more punctures than the glass, through rubbing holes in the tubes.

Ill let you know how I get on!

My main concern is that the arm which the cable attaches onto looks smaller.

I assume the modification will work regardless of the mech, as long as it is a shimano one as they all will have to have the same rate of pull?

    daveagiles

I’m going to give this a go seen as I need a new mech.

Would this modification work with a SLX medium cage mech like the one below?

I use a combination of different backups, to try and ensure that if one fails there will always be another to fall back on.

    I have the following:

Small external HDD with a complete system image, and always synchronised backup of my documents. This one lives on my desk.

Large external HDD with exactly the same as the first, except it lives at work and only gets updated once a month.

Another Large external drive with backup of photos, which lives at work and only comes home once a month, but, not at the same time as the other.

Crashplan online backup with an online, always in sync, copy of every single document, photo, music file and anything else that is important.

All are encrypted incase someone decided to break into work.

I am properly paranoid of data loss though.

    I just ignore them.

If I get bored I use the touch up paint that came with my Kinesis.

There is a massive amount of working going on there at the moment.

We were up there on Saturday, they were officially launching the new bike park.

The start of W2 and skyline has been changed (temp?) and is incredibly steep at the moment, I guess it’s going to be a decent.

Ah nice one, so other than oil that kit has everything I will need.

Ill probably give you a call tomo Loco and order some if I can get them from you for the same price.
