Can you put a tyre in the washing machine when you are doing a load of your wife’s undies, or does it need to be a seperate bike components load?

Had a brilliant time. Great practice on the Saturday and Sunday morning. Unfortunately crashed out and buckled my wheel at the end of the first stage, just before the finish :(. Gutted, ah well!

This was just milliseconds beforehand! https://www.rootsandrain.com/photos/562327

Comfy all the way. Good luck, it’s a great ride.

It’s fairly rough and feels rougher after 100 miles!

Rather you than me now the conditions have changed, good wind direction though on Sat.

Generally most people were great overtaking. Did have one chap shout on-your-left, whilst I was on the left of the single track and then proceed to ride into the back of me.

Cracking event. Was racing the 12 hour solo. Had to pull out after 8 hours though. Gutting as I was starting to work my way up the leader board.

    Hopefully next year!

Most sane Daily Mail article I have read in a while.

In brief. Mum and child go to park. Child climbs tree. Child says she is stuck. Mum thinks she is joking, takes a few photos. Child gets upset and really is stuck. Mum calls services to rescue her. Child lifted to safety by firemen. The End.

Not sure I see anything wrong with things as they are laid out in the article. 999 for the fire-brigade beats 999 for an ambulance when she tries to climb down/ panics and jumps.

Children have been climbing trees for years. I certainly did. Sometimes it went wrong. Thankfully we were always able to sort ourselves out.

As for paying for it, she already has. Well as long as she pays her council tax. Perhaps that the headline we will see next week. Tax dodging mum takes advantage of fire service to rescue child.

    At least it wasn’t a cat…

Have you tried Macdropany http://www.zibity.com/macdropany. Planning on giving it a go later on today. It may solve your problem with dropbox?

Also, crashpan works for me. Took a long while to load everything up there, but quiet happily ticks over now. Maybe needs reconfiguring?

If someone at Microsoft has got enough time to sit around and watch me in my living room, then they are more than welcome to do so. It is not like it is going to be broadcast live on the net.

I haven’t got anything to hide, it really doesn’t bother me. But that is just me…

Put one on last weekend. Same as above really, running with an advantage up front.

Only felt sketchy on some wet roots, other than that perfect.

I rode the wiggle ups and downs on Saturday. Great event, really well organised and was nice to see a different area of the country.

I didn’t set out to race everyone else, I just wanted to see how fast I could cover the 50km distance. Which, as far as I am aware, is the idea behind having timing chips on all of the riders (that and being able to see how many are missing). There wasn’t much antisocial overtaking (at least not on my part anyway).

It did make me realised two things though. (1) I would like to enter a race and (2) overtaking people is immensely satisfying.
