I use super glue. Popped a few small dots on about 4 months ago. Invisible and does the job. Might try the kettle trick.

As a slight aside… ordered a spare a while back but it is much bigger and more chunky than the original?

Mine is about 18 months old and I haven’t had to fiddle with it at all. Just works well every time.

Probably crashed about 3 times in all that time and I have turned it off/ reset it a similar number of times.

Very cool. Not having to move your eyes and find the start of the next one must save quiet a lot of the time.

I’ve recently gone from an iPad 2 to a retina mini.

Not missing the size and the change in resolution is great. Everything is much clearer.

Possibly one of the toughest things I did last year.

It is an amazing ride though! The hills at the end are monstrous.

Any chance you could make the zips squirrel proof Hugh ;-)

My black ice has been faultless, other than a squirrel eating through the top zip whilst climbing at the Dewerstone, oh and the elastic going on the back. Not bad for a tough 5 years use.

Nope very little snow left. There are a couple of patches on the highest ground.

More of a river than a stream from the Cross Rob, I needed to snorkel ;-) However, it is mega grippy under the water, so not all bad.

SO, the tube is a larger diameter than the clamp is designed to fit and it is was a surprise that it didn’t?

    All ok now though…

My Joystick that I recently got from Rutland came with the helmet mount, even though it wasn’t listed. GO for it!

Yep exactly the same as buying something on the classified for £50.

I’ve been registered and posted in all parts of the forum for about 5 years. That has got to count for something ;-).

Oh and the code I posted (incase you hadn’t realised) was an old one. Just for a laugh like.

FYI the code I have will work :).

Brings the trail alive doesn’t it!

In all seriousness I have had a lot less near misses since fitting a leaver to my GD. Nothing worse than a rocky decent with your hand between your legs.

Did they replace the whole frame then Rob?

@agentdagnamit- Yep that is about right. You will find that the worse they get the more contaminated the lubricating oil in the lowers get. This shouldn’t affect the air or dampening chambers in the short run as they are sealed and separate from the lowers, although in the long term dirty oil in the lowers may damage the seals.

As above, but also make sure everything is perfect:

In that there is nothing that you will doubt or have to stop for while you are going around. You don’t want to be fiddling with lighting brackets that are at the wrong angle or gears that are slightly out. These little things will wake over your mind and will be all that you can think of.

Now that is a cleaver idea. Nice to see some innovation on a HT frame. I wonder what it rides like.

I’d say narrow wide part would work fine, as the width of the chain should be fairly constant across it’s life. You may find that the ring wears faster though?

Top job, it is amazing home much difference a little support can make. Good luck to her :).

I was diagnosed in my second year at Uni. By many peoples standards I wasn’t struggling, but the support really helped me achieve. Now I’m in the first year of my PhD, doing things I never thought I was capable of.

It wasn’t quiet that deep when I did it on 2nd, but not surprised. It seemed to be damned at one end, preventing it from draining.

That decent in the Mud is fun though…
