Nice, so had he gone off for a wander? Found nearby?

My old sheltie when I was a toddler went missing for a few days, ended up coming to my nursery school & I recognised him but the staff didn’t as he was so dirty & disheveled that he looked like another dog! He went off a couple of times over the years, the little hobo!

There’s also photobucket (similar to Flickr, has an easy to use mobile app) or google drive i think can also hot-link from.

I tried using Countrywide in January.
Gave up & now using a local company, where I get to speak to the actual legal assistant doing the work not just a call centre. Which I prefer. Being local also means I can collect documents/go in as needed, which may help speed up things a small amount.

The bike shop on the industrial estate http://www.mudsweatngears.co.uk do regular rides on Thurs & Sunday I think.

I’d suggest getting in touch to start with.

I always keep a note of mileage when I drop off a car for work like that, have caught one place bazzing around in mine before now.

As long as it’s repaired to your satisfaction, should be fine – take your business elsewhere next time?!

Are you sure about being able to top it up? I thought you weren’t allowed to due to the tax-break limit/who owns which bits of it while you’re leasing it, etc.

Have you heard of Digitally Imported website? http://www.di.fm – lots of varied styles of dance music streamed, including live broadcasts of certain DJs/producers sets.
Am currently listening to Subculture from Peru!

Also, http://ah.fm/ – the ‘Rong’ nightclub stream last night from Manchester was good when I caught it briefly.

IMO it won’t work, a friend had similar problem in similar age single-skin house & it’s just moved the damp around the walls.
The ground needs to breathe via a combination of good ventilation & flooring that permits this. Injecting the resin in just locks the damp in place & doesn’t let it evaporate.
IMO, of course & i’m not an expert…

I had what hammy mentions, worked well.
Will buy the version with smaller screen next time when we change car unless it has a good BT-capable stereo.

Mortgage valuation done? Results from solicitor’s searches back?

I’m told it takes 8-10 weeks start to finish at the moment, but that will depend how much you lean on the mortgage & solicitors companies to hurry up.

Am in similar position to you fr0sty, and i’ve decided to use it as a house deposit. Mainly because it allows me to buy somewhere decent enough & with an advantageous mortgage interest rate over a basic FTB mortgage.
Boring, but then i’m mid-30s & married, so decided to do the grown up thing!
Expecting to be able to restart affording holidays again from next year, camping doesn’t count!

My chiropractor suggests rest & icing the bad areas for the first couple of days, then getting mobile again.
Worth getting a private appt, as they’re only about £30-£40 & can get you on the road to recovery quicker.

But it was ace, so much gourmet food, craft beers & ciders, and locally sourced bands – all it was missing was bicycles for it to be the next big STW thing!

You could always do Weymouth as well. There’s a good bike shop there that do Thursday night MTB & Tuesday road shop rides if feeling up for it.

What happens if the mortgage company put a retention on though? Unless you have the funds available to fill the gap in mortgage do you have to get the work done before moving in?

Being new to this myself i’m still unsure, but it seems a very risky outlay since the property purchase could still fall through before exchanging/completion.
Friends needed £10k work doing on the house they’ve bought & paid for it to be done before moving in.

    Chard? Hahahahahahhaha. That is all!

The Casterbridge in Dorchester may be a Best Western but has an excellent head chef.
The Eastbury in Sherborne is excellent all-round & the town is definitely worth a wander around although it’s not en-route so much.
Bridport is fairly lively for a mooch & a pint.

I have the steel version of the plastic Philips one above. Works fine but is quite heavy.

I’d sand what’s on there, clean off & probably sugar soap/thinned PVA over it. Proper bathroom paint is pretty good stuff too so that will help longevity of the finish.

Should anything happen anyway the bank are likely to put a freeze on the mortgage account for a couple of momths or so. Or at least, that’s what happened when my brother died & his wife was waiting for the insurance payout to clear it as he was the named person on all the paperwork.

Some of the websites like Zoopla also show old adverts as well – it’s been useful finding out how much the seller of our house did herself & how much was done by the previous owner.

P.S. I hate at least half of all estate agents!

I donated, he was a bit of an inspiration to me back in the day & was lucky enough to have a good long chat to him at one of their stunt events a month or so before his accident.

Just paint the wall yourself & suck it up – we’ve re-painted most of our large flat to more suit ourself & the property, nothing gaudy but subtly different from the usual magnolia. Helps it feel more like our home instead of just somebody else’s investment. Paint doesn’t cost much & only needs take a day if you prep well & do it efficiently.

The problem is that they may retain part of the mortgage until it’s repaired/stabilised – that caused me to walk away from a purchase & leave it to somebody more foolish & with deeper pockets to throw at the problem before moving in.
That survey cost £700 but saved me tens of thousands on stuff we hadn’t noticed/realised.

Working fine on Chrome at home on pc & Android tablet.
Probably fine at work tomorrow now – reckon it must be certain adverts I guess.

Same happened to me at work at lunchtime, on work’s PC which normally has no problem (but sits behind hefty security/firewalls (so maybe being hampered by that?).

In my experience, diagnosing suspension issues needs the car to be put on a lift that lets the wheels drop AND a drive-on ramp that supports the wheels, as problems aren’t always obvious in one state. So it could still be something worn that just wasn’t obvious when it was checked last.

We have a Philips HR1861 aluminium one, it’s one of the better ones of its type but cleaning is enough of a faff that it puts me off using it.
Managed to get it cheap enough that I don’t mind that it only got 6months use before being consigned to the cupboard.

Hmmm ok thanks – have to admit I didn’t think it would apply an order to such a simple operation.
She is familiar with BIDMAS principles so will just let her know to follow that as normal.

From memory, Eng. maths was just stuff that came in useful later for more detailed engineering work – thermo/aero-dynamics, etc. Laplace & Z-transforms, matrices, fourier series, linear optimisations, stats, etc…
And is then forgetten within a year of starting work as everything is done in software packages instead! But at least you know the principles. In theory…

    gonefishin –
Well to be brutally honest the first question I’d ask is why both you and she are using a calculator for such a simple sum as it will get in the way of learning about power functions.

Ooh get you – thanks! Firstly, for a number of reasons she struggles with maths and praise to her for trying in adulthood to improve! Secondly my degree included further engineering mathematics so I can quite easily cope, cheers!

The example I gave was just an example, but i’ll try out the different options as suggested, it is bringing back memories of the opposing ways that sharp/casio calculators worked from yesteryear so will double-check – cheers all.
