We usually come into B’Mouth via Wallisdown Road/the Uni complex, but i’m just going to use the park & ride this time I think.

FWIW, ours seems to get a better looking coat on her when we feed it the premium stuff. When she’s not rolling around in the dirt, that is…

A friend of mine just got off a >£900 nPower bill as they failed to take payment for an entire year!

I saw Kai Humphries last year & thought he was good. He’s show is on at the Gilded Balloon.

As above – Jim Jefferies (he isn’t there this year, but his current show is beyond compare it’s so good!). But be ready to have some of your sensibilities confronted at some point

‘Pure’ do one which Halfords sell – looks ok and works well.

It’s not really an engineering role though is it, it’s just a repairs liaison role skim-reading/para-phrasing, and reading between the lines it’s more of a junior role.

That link re-directs me to the website’s front page, not a specific advert. Perhaps my current aerospace employer is doing some clever website content filtering?!

Is the job based in Bolton, John?

Golden Cap at Seatown is ok, but does have the feeling of being bigger/more claustrophobic than it is IMO. Plus the pub is trying too hard on the food now & may lose repeat casual visitors.
The others I mentioned aren’t that big – been to much worse in Devon & Cornwall over the years!

There is this one South of Chard: http://www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com/ if you want woodland camping.

Freshwater Beach http://www.freshwaterbeach.co.uk/ near Burton Bradstock (just east of West Bay) – has its own beach, and is near the excellent Hive Beach beachside cafe

Or Graston Copse http://www.coolcamping.co.uk/campsites/uk/england/west-country/dorset/563-graston-copse – also near Burton B.

I’m not familiar with ones nearer Lyme, but there are a few good ones IIRC.

I’ve just bought 2 packs of these rubber floor protectors from Wilkinson to use, if they work ok i’ll colour them black to fit in better:
    http://www.wilko.com/hardware/wilko-rubber-buffers-4pk-075in/invt/0190411
They’re cheap though so couldn’t possibly be up to the job for a hifi purist ;-)

These might work well instead: http://www.wilko.com/hardware/wilko-furniture-glider-round-4pk-40mm/invt/0344701

Alternatively, coach bolts screwed in might do, but they might still mark the floor if the stands & speakers are heavy.

I’ve seen him from back in the late 90s doing Cream nightclub every week to more recently at Slinky in Bournemouth – and until very recently I thought he was too past it/the scene has moved on too much.
Perfecto Flouro is ok but he prances around on stage like he’s not that bothered anymore.

Do you listen to his podcast? The music is good but he sounds bored on it, has to be a good one for me to keep them :D

We tried one while my Mrs was reluctant to let hers go anywhere. Ours used to skulk around at ground-level with it, but otherwise got on as normal/like a dog that isn’t doing what you want it to.
It became of use when taking them to the vet, they didn’t need to be in a box as they just sat in the car/on the chair placid.

Is you cat likely to be able to get out of the garden, i.e. jump up to escape?

Bruneep – wouldn’t mind your job then, please thankyou?!

If you can get friendly with anyone who can put your name on the gate & door for the Navy Exchange (NEX), that’s the route to being to buy cheap stuff – USA prices on laptops/Apple stuff, clothes, etc.

You can get proper wood filler. Not sure how strong it is or if it would be suitable for hanging a door from – but using larger screws might also help.

    Dockyard work by any chance?

All i’m saying is “BOOMERS”! (take a friend, it’s scary!)

There are a couple of nice food places in the small modern development near The Gulf hotel – Jim’s do a great beef wellington.

Taxi drivers will try ripping you off lots, especially if getting expenses receipts. We decided it was easier than trying to drive though, although only there for 8days.
We didn’t find any legit electricals cheaper than in the UK, except in the US Navy base’s shop.

You need to get the proposed car’s approx. MPG, then use the current cost of petrol/diesel to work out fuel costs.
I put £100/month aside for car maintenance, insurance & tax and it usually covers it – we run a 14yr old Passat TDi (approx £1k value).

Other costs are too variable to guess. That Avensis for sale on here would be one cheap way to do it (assuming nothing breaks of course!)

If you get it, it’d be worth covering it in Fabisil Gold silicon proofer & possibly also seam-sealer any stitching.

I remembered Rolf Lassgard, preferred him actually.
My dad & I both watched previous series, only found out by accident that we both liked it.
Rolf Lassgard is in a film “false trail”, pretty good – kept my ol’ dad glued to the screen for a couple of hours unlike his usual viewing habits.
Found episode from a fortnight ago hard to watch together at times, as my mum has the disease & lives in a care home & he visits every day…

Who were the others? I only know 1 other actor who played the character, unless you meant Kenneth Branagh?

For what it’s worth – I was in the Aberdeen store this week & overheard the staff giving some excellent advice & help with fittings to to an older woman who needed her first proper pair of hiking boots.
She was there for the good advice & hopefully rewarded them for by buying there, but perhaps people are more happy to just mail order & use review comments these days…

Just get it pressure tested & gas with dye used so that if there is a leak it can be found easily.
    Then yeah just refill!

This will probably be the speed sensor mounted on the gearbox. (SNAP!)
Mine (1.8LX) had that occasionally fail & the symptoms were power-steering assistance changed (went heavier) and engine response flattened (not as bad as limp mode, but same idea).
I had an aftermarket stereo without speed input, so didn’t affect that.

It’s a common failure & an easy fix.

Mine gets kicked back out with whichever beast it brings in, unless the thing can still run around and is ok. Then the cat is locked in while I release it down the lane!

So do i, send me an email & it’ll remind me to ask my mate tomorrow morning.
Often up in Malvern myself, but will have to meet at Strensham services if the deal does go down this w/end.

Where are you in the country? I may know of an unused Tor Pico going for a good price. Only problem is it needs the bottom plate re-spraying (long story).
It’s in Somerset at the moment but the price may more than justify the trip if it’s still available. Want me to ask?

I’ll be going up the M5/M6 this Friday but I don’t think a deal could be done quickly enough to sort it out & bring up for you to collect from north manc.

A really good backpack are the Berghaus Freeflow ones with the large mesh vented gap between the pack & your back. That feature does restrict the internal space but they’re really comfy to wear & do well avoiding perspiration marks on whatever top you’ve got on.
Otherwise, just get on & do it – don’t splash out on kit you might not need later on.

To me, £12 for the day’s food seemed a little steep but then I guess it is ~3,000 calories with plenty of stuff in it… hmmm…

FWIW, if you don’t mind ready meals then the Wayfayrer packet ones are pretty darned good & easy to reheat.
I’ve used a couple when i hiked in the French Alps to break up the monotony of noodles/pasta, etc.

In a similar way to Bernie Ecclestone in his chosen field – much past his best in the public’s eyes. The sooner they both move on, the better for the sports.
