I’m ok, well that’s what the doctors tell me anyway!

Aye, hadn’t actually bothered searching yet for an answer – trust STW to come up with the goods though :)
    Cheers guys!

I’ve got one, much prefer it to my old Giro & it was the only one that felt comfy for me from the moment I put it on.

Light attachment should be ok, might have to try a few spots though coz of the rake of the front.

Maint. often does cost more than the printers, or so my GF has just found on hers at work. But yeah, I’d guess they’ve automatically sent that out in the hope it’ll get paid…

I think I remember Toolstation do it, so Screwfix might as well? Any electrical factors will sell it too.

My home PC has started doing it too, and I hadn’t even changed anything!
I loaded the latest version but it’s made no difference. :(

You can sometimes find reasonable ones on ebay going on the cheap, that’s how I got my decent one.

Sennheiser PX200 should be ok for you. Neutral sounding, comfy, fold up & come with a travel case.
Buy from a reputable website, as there’s a lot of fakes around.

Well this topic certainly changed direction fast, even for STW!

HC, I disagree – it was near identical to the one I stayed in at The Hague, which I was pleased about in that instance so that at least I knew what i’d be getting rather than some random hovel.

It was all a bit too bleak & grey for my liking though.

Have a quick look at http://www.trustedreviews.com, gives some good info.

    I went in November.
Didn’t think that much of it TBH, didn’t get to see that much of the older parts but much of it was bland & uninspiring.
The Novotel that we stayed in was ok though, as was the ice-bar we frequented one evening!

There’s a little salsa bar opposite some cheesy bar/club place not too far from that hotel, can’t remember its name but it was a good place to hang out for a few bevvies.

Liking the prices & some of the Bolles on there, might have to try ’em on somewhere in town before I decide though.

    I hate crows. And ravens.

Owls are alright though and there’s one living near my place. :-)

I’ve borrowed an upright Vax recently & it’s made a difference for sure, even pulling crap out of a part of the carpet we don’t use that much, which had been done with a good vacuum cleaner twice!

Takes some effort though, and you will find that if you pre-treat or do an area twice, you’ll get a much better result.

IMO it would be good if you can put some sort of scotchguard stuff back on it, coz I’m wondering if us cleaning our hallway carpet has stripped that off it as i’d swear it’s gotten noticeably dirtier quite soon afterwards…

It’s to let you share with the world what you’re doing – even if it is just making beans on toast or ‘having an off day’ coz you’ve got PMT, or something… yawn…

The only point I see to it is sharing photos, but it pi$$es me off when people put up pics of me without asking first (esp. if i’m a tad drunk in them!).

I don’t see how people can spend long on it each day, checking out all their "friends" stuff. But i’d guess it’s not a mile away from those who sit reading this forum all day…
I’m just too old for it!

If you load the latest HTC firmware, there’s a chance that might unlock it?
I have one from when VOda released them, and a friend advised me how I could unlock it but it wasn’t easy or error proof. If you can wait a week or so i’ll ask him for the info again…

I might’ve asked if I can go try it for size – anyone think it’s theirs/their mates & want to give me some details to look for incase the pleb actually does try & flog it to me?!

I’d just echo exactly what piedi di formaggio said. The only strap to worry about might be the ones that anchor it to the chassis rail (or whatever you use) under the bumper – there’s the possiblity of them scuffing the paint.

Or alternatively, insure it for the year and then cancel it within a fortnight – thus only losing the admin fee they charge, usually around £30 or so. That would mean paying upfront though, and it’ll take a while to get the refund credited back onto your card.

    CSC – BURN THE WITCH!
Sorry TSIS, but I work for a part of a large company whom you deal with. Luckily our inhouse team showed just how good they really are when we had CSC put on us for a number of few months. Quality & speed of service went downhill faster than the Atherton family!

What they said, Specsavers has a big range, or at least my local small-town one does. They’ve a couple of nice Quiksilver designs that look tough enough to handle a bit of abuse.
I was looking today, and most seem to have sales on.
The (expensive) local independant I used before for my Oakleys have some nice Nike frames half price, thinking about getting those as it makes it more aceptable paying £90 for the frame instead of £180!!

There’s another product that’s a bit better than radweld. Costs ~£14 per bottle. Will ask a colleague what it’s called & report back later.

Too many similar undertones to Survivors (which he ripped apart in his screenwipe programme!), for my liking – but if it’d been shown in a month or two I wouldn’t have minded so much.
Is still entertaining show though – best thing that’s ever happened to Davina!

Drop links are easy to check, can just about get away without needing to jack the car up too.
If you do want to check them, they shouldn’t move at all – should be stiff.

Don’t suppose Bridgwater have any more? The Taunton one was reserved & bought about 2hours before I went in for it! :(

Sounds like it may be a good thing. If you’ve got half-decent processes in place that people stick to, should be ok, especially if people only do it differently coz there’s a more efficient/sensible way for what they need.
After our place was taken over by a big multinational, we were/are broadly left alone for many things – as long as you’re productive & cost-efficient they may bot want to rock the boat.

    1st = true

2nd = also true! A friend was able to unlock his car using his ultrasonic remote fob and mobile phones, from a distance much further away than the point his fob wouldn’t work on its own. However, he suspects that the phone somehow amplified the signal – he’s tried it again on a similar car when it was in a different area, and it didn’t work that time.

3rd = true (I think). I think I remember there were a couple of (Nokia?) phone models some years ago that you could do this to, I remember it from the time, was just a firmware thing.

    4th = ??

The “inherently simple” upgrade to their system is actually likely to be rather an expensive & complicated one, judging by attempts to setup such systems I’ve seen in the recent past.
Has to be linked into their accounting software packages, requires a whole heap of barcoding work to be done, and change to their stock control/delivery methods…

Agreed though – chuffin annoying when websites don’t do it, i actually avoid some that don’t have realtime data shown.

My GF works for a jewellery manufacturers. She has offered to ask the guy who makes the jewellery to do it for you as a favour, for just a small fee, and it wouldn’t take 2 weeks either!!
Can you email me a photo, or at least some more info (stone type, setting, ring metal, etc), and we’ll see what we can do for ya’. :)
Email should be in my profile…
