DYLON do some anti-bacterial stuff you can add to your wash, that kills off the bugs & odours ‘even at 30degrees’. I bought some at one of our local supermarkets, check yours over.
It worked fine on a t-shirt & fleece I had that were whiffy even after recent regular washing.

RB, the thing about the kids photos from when I went ~ 7-8yrs ago, was that digital photography was only just starting to take off.
As you suggest, they certainly had wealthy mummy & daddys as the eqpt. list accompanying such photos was both extensive & expensive!
But it was more some of the subject matters, to get such results on film, for example, needed a keen eye & steady hand, etc, so it did leave myself & friend that was with me, with the impression as I said – quite a large helping hand was givem methinks.

The photos themselves though, absolutely stunning, year after year!

I’ve been to that before – as you say, there’s some stunning stuff on display.

Only thing that irked me, were the photos alledgedly taken by young children – many of them were so good, it seemed kinda obvious that their parent set the camera up & they just clicked the button so it took the pic…

A big 400yr old manor house & 60acres of grounds down the road from me has just come to sale. £4.5million guide price, eek!
    Can always dream, i suppose… :(

The Orange C600 (i think it’s also known as an HTC Tornado), is the easiest to use & most stable windows smartphone i’ve had so far from 4 of them.
It syncs up perfectly with Outlook, and if you get a non-orange branded one, they have wi-fi too, and you can do your email on it.
See ebay# 250409847540 for an example.
Only downer with it is the camera’s not great.

I have an HTC Vox (aka Vodafone V1415/Orange S710) at the moment. The pull-out keyboard might be useful for some but I don’t get on with it. This version of windows mobile isn’t as slick either, but there are some useful apps with it.

Not sure about G1 – first of all I need to stay on vodafone for reception where I live, and i can’t afford to buy an unlocked phone upfront.
Also, 36hrs battery life is crud & not good enough for what I need.

In my previous house, our high-gain antenna was in the loft.
Strangely, we got a better reception pointing at the big hill right out the back of the house rather than the direction most other people’s antenna pointed at. So we just put up with Devon & Cornwall’s news rather than where we lived!

DMs, hadn’t thought of them – they’ve got some good ones on their website, will have to head to the shops to check them out in the flesh – ta!

As I understand it, a zero stack headset will only fit into a frame designed for them, but I forget where I’ve see the reason why. I think it’s just the difference in height for where it slots into the headtube.

    Been done before lads;

I might ‘buy’ it – i.e. recover it & return to police, giving him a helping hand while i’m at it!

Naive question: If you’re a member of the armed forces, don’t you live at work anyway?

You don’t have to live on base if you’re a conscript. :-)

None of you fancy an Orange p7 then? I scoped out an 853 Genesis in Taunton, but the P7 just seemed to look better to/for me…

The 28gears made me chuckle, quite an achievement!
Didn’t notice the wheel size though – doh!

My money’s just on a scam though – you pay my shipping agent, etc, etc…

Just don’t get a light single-colour one, unless you enjoy cleaning stains – 2nd house i’m in now with a pale green carpet in the hallway, gets trashed far too easily!

I may have as I suspect my hub is goosed.
It would be weekend before I can check it over though – would that be ok or do you need it sharpish?

If it were me trying to find out, i’d just email them ask & save the hassle trawling the web trying to find out myself.

I’ve enjoyed Mud Dock before, but **** do they charge a lot for their cooked breakfast – something like £9 for not much at all…

I think they’ve set up a partnership with the (large multi-national) company I work for.
Name seems familiar anyway. Best googling them just to check for scare stories just incase…

Good to hear you’re making positive progress, one way or another.
Perhaps a good idea to keep any updates on here low-key, incase as mentioned earlier, they’re reading this thread/website?

    Looks like a Robinson R44;

I’m gonna guess they were filming something, as i’m not sure the fuzz use side mounts quite like that?

sis-in-law uses Vodafone’s service. Works ok, simple to set up, etc.

We’ve just sent back a Virgin one, dongle just wouldn’t connect-to anything!

They’re fine & they are ‘serious’ shoes – as long as you stay away from the cheaper end of their range, some thought has gone into the products & how they’re made, etc.

It’s not as basic as it used to be, that’s for sure!
Hadn’t seen that website, cheers, tho’ much of it is either common sense or i already know – some good stuff tho’. :)

Something similar happened to a friend of mine, and he basically told them to get bent for accusing him of something like this without the proper evidence – obviously the incurred stress, rumours about it all back in the office, etc is/was inexcusable and he went on the offensive at them about it.

Since they’re dealing with it in such a poor way and as you say, they don’t know what they’re doing themselves, perhaps you should try a similar tact, now that hopefully you know what’s going on?
It’s out of order for them to put you through this and all for nothing!

That Pussycat Doll woman made the mistake at one race last season of speaking in an interview & just showed up what a dullard she was compared to all around her!

I’ve had a load of vectra and mondeos as hire cars. The Mondeo estates i’ve had were nicer to drive than the vectras.
The Vectras (turbo-diesels), torque steered like it’s going out of fashion & it just got annoying. Plus I found I preferred the smoother power delivery of the mondeo rather than the boot-up-the-backside & then nothing, from the vectra.

Also, the indicators on the vectras are **** annoying with their “nudge to do just a few for a lane change” – seem to have really over sensitive pressure switches.

Do they do N96s? Dunno how spanky they are but you might get one cheap as the N97 comes out this Summer IIRC.
I’m waiting for the G2 google phone thingy on Vodafone, it’s made by HTC but I don’t know if you’ll be able to buy it standalone?

WTF, wanted to head down this weekend (Sunday AM), is it not worth the effort yet til it’s cleared a bit & do you have to be a bit more careful with who’s around?

Do you reckon you can keep a pretty little phone like that in good working condition for 2 years?

I’m toying with the idea for tomorrow, but I reckon that the clocks going forward will throw me off enough that when i wake up i’ll just roll over & go back to sleep! We shall see…

Could well be possible. When I bought my router ~3years ago i chose it as it was ADSL2 compatible, I could believe that an older one wouldn’t work with such a service – i’d bet you’ll be able to get a free firmware upgrade though, you won’t be the only person suffering if that is the case.

I have an application that allows you to use Outlook to manage/sync/send, etc, your SMS texts, as though it’s another inbox/outbox. Called Jeyo Mobile Extender.

Oh and 38minutes isn’t very long to wait for a reply!
