OK, oxygen toxicity is a similar concern.

Sockpuppet – I said no such safety concerns, I didn't say there were no safety concerns. Friend of mine blew himself and a hydraulic accumulator up a few weeks ago using O2 on place of N2. A mistake he won't repeat in a hurry.

Mess around with an oxy bottle, and catch a good sniff of it and you won't die. Your hangover will go away (and come back with it's nasty brother a few hours later!). Catch a decent whiff of N2, which has no O2 in it, and it could well be your last. It is a gas which really needs to be treated with respect, and to say "Nitrogen is completely safe" (as Kwik fit claim) is misleading and dangerous.

As for sticking it in yer tyres, as a common-or-garden road user? No point. Marketing bullshit really. Certainly no benefit in a bike tyre.

    Nitrogen is completely safe

Try telling that to anyone who's tried breathing 100% nitrogen. I doubt they'll agree!

If I put you in a sealed air tight room filled with 100% O2 how long do you'll think you'll last?

OK, let me rephrase that. Using Nitrogen in an industrial setting, the risks associated with breathing it are well understood and steps are taken to make sure you don't end up trying to breathe it.
"You can't see it, You can't smell it, You can't breathe it"…etc.

No such safety concerns when using oxygen. Fair enough, you don't want to be putting O2 in places designed for N2, but that's a different discussion. Certainly wouldn't be inflating my tyres with O2 either.

But the point I was making is that "Nitrogen is completely safe" as attributed to the Kwik Fit (sic) website is completely wrong.

Leave some aluminium in a bowl of it overnight, and see what you have left.

Wouldn't put it near my car, and only use it on bikes if they are really shitty dirty before I have to work on them. Massive acidic overkill for post-ride washing IMO.

All the various Nokia n-series I have had the displeasure to own have been shit. The e-series has been a breath of fresh air.

You can most likely edit the e71 version of iPlayer for the e72. I was using the N95 version on my e71 for a good while before they brought out a e71 version.

Still can't decide if I should go e71 -> e72, or take a brave pill and try a HTC Desire.

    Select the cell.
Format Menu – Cells – Number – Set the No of decimal places to 2.

The cell will show 12.35 on the worksheet, but when you select the cell, it will show 12.34567890123 in the formula bar.

Scottish bank notes are not legal tender in Scotland. English bank notes of denomination less than 5UKP were legal tender in Scotland under Currency and Bank Notes Act 1954. Now, with the removal of BoE 1UKP notes, only coins constitute legal tender in Scotland. English bank notes are only legal tender in England, Wales, The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. In Scotland, 1 pound coins are legal tender to any amount, 20ps and 50ps are legal tender up to 10 pounds; 10p and 5ps to 5 pounds and 2p and 1p coins are legal tender to 20p (separately or in combination). 2 pounds coins and (if you can get hold of one) 5 pound coins are also legal tender to unlimited amounts, as are gold coins of the realm at face value (in Scotland at least).

I just sold a mint Allroad for £6000 (In Scotland). 2000 model on an 'X', with 99k. Check eBay – they can be had in your budget.

Scottish bank notes aren't legal tender in the UK or Scotland!

You mean Scottish bank notes aren't legal tender in england or Scotland.

Or, they are noy legal tender in the UK. (I think you'll find that Scotland is part of the UK, for the time being)

They are however 'acceptable currency' anywhere in the UK, which means that shops can accept them as payment. They don't have to though.

Had an Allroad until recently. **** awesome on snow. Quick (enough), roomy, comfy on road, handled rough stuff very well. Bit thirsty (2.5 V6 TD – 30mpg), but that's to be expected on these things. Can be got for reasonable money now too.

On any suitably-equipped S60 Symbian Nokia, you can use JoikuSpot (free version) to tether.

Works perfectly on my E71 – but it does get quite hot running Wi-Fi and 3G together.

Recently got an astra van, which has a factory-fit folding rear seat. Folds completely into the floor, unlike the estate version. Loads of room, but you can have 2 in the back if you ever need to.

Depends if you have it set to network time update.

My e71 has, and it's about 150 miles out of signal. If the phone has a calendar and a clock (which ones don't these days?) it should be smart enough to work out what days to set / remove daylight saving.

Dodgy scotchlocks shouldn't be able to increase the resistance in a given leg, unless they have cut right through the cable of course. Should be banned anyway, just for being shit. Still, recent change being the towbar fitting has got to be a good pointer.

When you switch the key from OFF to ACC to IGN, you are applying Voltage (not current) to various circuits. Some circuits are always live (voltage applied) – like the hazard lights, interior lights, sidelights, headlights etc. Some are made live when the key is in ACC – sometimes radio, blower, horn, indicators, etc. Others are only mad live when the key is at IGN – starter circuit, fuel injection/engine management, ignition, sometimes radio, etc.

The voltage which has been applied to a given circuit will be present on the input side of whatever switch controls it. Once the switch is closed (switched on), then current will flow in the circuit (assuming no faults etc).

BTW, central locking is live all the time, regardless of the key in the ignition.

Flasher units work on resistance, so if it's going fast it is seeing a high resistance when switched on to that left side. As no bulbs have gone, then as mentioned above – have you fitted LED replacement bulbs? If so, then you will need a ballast resistor wired in parallel to the bulbs to simulate the expected load. If you have normal bulbs, and they are flashing OK, but faster on the left, then you undoubtedly have an earth issue. One of your left-hand indicator bulbs is not earthed directly. Most commonly happens with tail lights. Check all the wiring from the left-hand rear cluster, and make sure it has a good earth.

What type / age of car is it?
Do you have a towbar fitted (and wired)?
