Wear a pair of seal skins waterproof socks with them,I’ve got the shimano winter boots and great for a while but I found if I wore the skins as well at least you can put dry socks on at the end of the day and they keep your feet nice and toasty, no heater at work you can stick them on/under..

The islabikes seem to be the lightest, I found the Trek Superfly 20 was the next closest, I posted a question about kids bikes and a lot on here really rate the commencal ramones 20..

cheers honurablegeorge, how much was the shipping on that?

gravitykids, the mrs is having her 2 bobs worth at the minute..she even looked at me like I was stupid because she hadn’t heard off commencal..I better not throw dawes at her 😕

The weight of the ramones 20 is near enough on par with the trek and the isla, once you add in front sus then the weight creeps up

Saw one on ebay today, just been listed, was tempted myself but would def want proof of purchase 1st…2014 9.8 with upgraded mavic wheels for £1495, had a rumblefish and loved it,I would expect its a rocket to ride

I’ve a 6 year old who is the same, takes forever to eat anything, will never finish his plate, but again he eats healthy and is happy.. The Mrs brought it up with the doctors but they were happy enough.. His 2yr old brother is the opp, eats plenty always wants more etc,we get the occasional day where he gets a hunger burst and devours everything but mostly just picks..we’ve given up worrying now, he’s active and happy so have stop forcing the issue..

I’ll bring it with me I’m over Thurs!! that would upset the wife 😛

Yeah carbon front and alloy rear, to be fair I’ve swapped most parts out but it was fine as it came I just got a bit carried away,I went from a rumblefish to this so completely dif feeling to it, but I love it and def feel much more confident on it.

Dr J…When I say we asked I prob worded that slightly wrong… we simply said that as we didn’t really need anything if anyone wanted to donate to our honeymoon then that would be more welcome than gifts we didn’t need or would never use..It’s obviously a touchy subject, but when you can come back a show people what you spent there money on (excursions etc) I think it justifies itself in a way.

We asked for Aussie and Thai money for our honeymoon, we’d been living together for 7 years and didn’t really need anything..we made a very small gift list for those that were uncomfortable with this, worked out well…

All lorries are getting better equipped, side sensors, cameras, the warning voice that tells you they are turning left..a camera facing the blind spot could help but all is in vain if you get a cyclist getting that close to the truck in the first place, personally it’d scare the hell out of me getting that close to the inside of a truck but some people seem to have no sense..

    dave32

I cycled through town once and that was enough for me,I saw a cyclist pull out of a bike lane into the path of an artic all to get in front off the 2 cyclists in front off him, perhaps lorries need stronger messages on them, like the fag packets..shock and awe, maybe pics off mangled bikes down the side…

    dave32

Feel sorry for the cyclist and your friend but the lorry driver was let go at the scene, which means there was either witnesses or they checked his cameras and proved he did nothing wrong, It’s not always the lorries fault…

Had an X king come on the rear of a bike I bought in jan..There lethal in the slightest bit off wet, have just put it back on the rear of my work bike now for the ‘summer’ hopefully..bit I’d never run it up front unless it had been dry for weeks,I think things would get proper sketchy even in damp weather.

Vegas is amazing…love it…you need to go back with the boys…3 nights no sleep and no recollection of what you’ve done for most of the time..and the stuff you do remember….not safe on here 😆

Yep just jump on any train at Wembley station easy enough to get out for a beer, good luck with the parking..just remember even on match days you can’t drink on the tube..you don’t want your beer taken off you!! even worse watching it get tipped away…

According to tfl there’s only planned work on district and hammersmith, won’t affect you going from either of those stations..also you can park up in the golf club opposite west ruislip station and get the overground if there is any

Why don’t you do what a lot of the northern fans do, Park at Hillingdon/Ruislip/Ickenham and get the train in..free parking, no traffic jams trying to get out after either.

Nip out when she visits the in-laws..early commutes to work so you can go the long way…night time rides after little one has settled down for the night.. the odd weekend jaunt booked months in advance so she can meet up with her friends..that about sums me up..6yr old and a crazy 18 month old

You can check the push chair in, but they are handy if the little one falls asleep plus for bunging all the wife’s shopping on!!

Take the biggest one you can, we take our jane salamon or whatever it’s called, plenty of room for the little ones to get comfy in..which means you can stay out longer..we flew with thompson to Greece and just wheeled it up to where you get on and picked it up when we got off,no bags needed,,also you probably no but ignore that babies on first announcement and get on last, way I see it the less time your restraining them in a tiny seat you have less chance off them kicking off.

That surgu looks good, but on their website it says remove with a sharp knife…don’t fancy taking a knife to the internal routing holes?

You got a local concept store? The guys in my local one are normally spot on with advice and should know their own bikes inside out, might be worth giving one of them a ring.

I think there 19mm, Cant find it anywhere on line including dt’s techbook so stuck a ruler on it and i’m fairly confident it’s 19, there new ones seem to be 22.5 but my eyes are def not that bad, they came with 2.4 tyres on and that seems to be there limit according to dt it’s between 1.9 and 2.4

The 1700, was after £180 for them. I’ll have a quick look on dt’s website and find out
