I’m not overly worried about the time scale, going on hols next week plus I have another bike I can ride or swap the wheels over, it was more a moore large thing as not being in the industry I have never heard of them. More trying to get a bit of piece of mind really that hopefully there will be a positive outcome.

Cheers shortcut, that’ll hopefully be the outcome for myself. Shame cause I really like the wheels.

Yeah I found that out after cycle surgery told me it’d be quicker to sort it out myself!!

I’m running dt swiss m1700 on my every day bike. Had them a year now and although they don’t take a massive amount of abuse there still running true. On my other bike a set of american classic carbonaters, rear is slightly out after 10 rides or so but I read this in the reviews before I got them, once trued up app they stay true a lot longer.

Both of ours are on frogs now, 7 and 2 our oldest had an isla to start and that’s sat in the garage waiting for the youngest to grow a bit more, I think weights important not just for the kids but for but for grandparents/parents cause we had a crap halfords heavy own brand to start and when the mrs took my oldest out, once they get bored of riding and ditch the bike she would really struggle carrying it back.

I’ve got one, few years old now…used it as my work commute bike and no complaints. It done everything I needed it to do. Its now sitting in pieces as I’ve gone back to a short travel fs and just swapped the components over.

Warm yourself up on a blue or red first as well.. I didn’t bother with a pack last time and seemed to enjoy it more not having it there. As said above your not far from the car park. full face and pads I’d recommend, not essential but there is a lot of tree stumps at the sides of the trails waiting for you to come off up there..

We got our 2 yr old the frog tadpole, really good bike flies along on it and just starting to learn to use the brake on it. Nice touch on it that the bars only twist to a certain point so that when they crash the don’t get hurt by them.

Have to agree with Northwind, I have the carbon tf02 and it was really rattly to start. Took a couple of attempts which ended with me throwing it at the mechanic I use and telling him to make it quiet. Great bike though which I use for everything and Evans normally have them with some decent savings..

Got the medium, I’m 180 and it feels right for me. I’m aiming for a trip up to bpw in a few weeks. I’m based down near London…. The only problem I had was having to swap the dropper from a 150 to 125 as even with the post fully inserted it was still just a touch to high for me.

I wouldn’t book a whole day, until it was all fully open again, When we went we rode cafal as twrch still closed then done a few uplifts, paying as we went, switching between the downhill track and final decent of cafal.

Yep, trek remedy 29er at BPW, was an absolute pig of a bike which nothing felt right on..def wrong place to test ride as I think they take to much abuse on a regular basis…was gutted as well as I really liked the look of it.

I’m down just outside London. Now I’ve calmed down I’m gonna go back to my insurance(bupa) and have a chat and see if I can get some more advice and get a tailored programme off a physio to get me started…looks like its of to yoga classes as well…probably the wrong topic in here but I now have a nice Canyon ht for sale hahaha

obelix, You sound exactly like the physio I was seeing before the scan, Thats basically what he said, muscles have stopped working and I was solid in my hips and thighs. It was him who suggested the scan as every week when I went back the pain was always moving about.

Now I know what’s wrong and I should be able to move things forwards.

I’ve got the canyon 2012 model I think, I use it for the work commute and the odd 2hr ride, bought it 2nd hand and i’ve not had a problem with it. Rides fast when your in the mood and with upgrades when bits wear you can get it to a decent weight.

shimano mw81 with sealskins as socks, works a treat for me. As for drying out..little oil radiator in the kitchen that they can sit on top of when you get home, dry for the next day.

Sports dictator always seems to have good streams of the football, I’m sure they’ll probably have american football to, only downside is I have internet on the telly but it wouldn’t play it so had to stick to the ipad. Haven’t tried connecting the laptop to the telly though. Will have to give that a go.

Lol, I’ve had a couple off sets Kryton57 and if they can take my fat arse and bad riding then they cant be all that bad, but seriously, used them on my work bike/winter hardtail for 18 months, never had a problem with the front and rear needing truing once.

Def something tubeless, from experience as I ride the canal most days to work and always loads of glass, nails and whatever other junk the boaties throw out..personally I use purgatory’s f+r but then a few bits are off road and get bad in the slightest bit of rain..
