decent finish silicone around tiles onto tray  say 12mm bead, chamfer bottom of fixing rail for shower screen  so silcone from tiles onto tray doesnt push the profile away from wall, before you fit fixing rail pump clear silicone onto bottom where rail meets tray , hope that makes sense

tiles are better than panels , no need to tank hardie backer board , slow set adhesive, bal grout or  epoxy grout

They have been very steady in scotland for the last month or so. 2500 to 3000 cases per day and and 20 to 3o deaths per day sadly
a few of the areas that consistently had high numbers are now lower and some of the areas that avoided high case load are now higher
the western isles and orkney are the highest per 100 thousand whilst glasgow city and edinburgh are the lowest in the whole of scotland
its strange , is that a sign of herd immunity ?

I cycle loch lomond once a week . usually sunday morning
both sides at the moment are very busy and looking like a shit hole to be honest,
balloch would be a no go,
best to get futher away , there is a motor home stop over at tarbet across from hotel, in betwen tarbet and arrochar is another one at the slanj. two places in the car park at the far end of helensburgh beside the park , all of these are better options than balloch . tyndrum has a pop up site if you go further on . my best advice would be the slanj , get up early and get passed the road to crainlarich , or take the alternative route past inveraray. its a better drive ,

if you dont have to chip in for fence and he has not stole land then i wouldnt have a problem. new fence , as you said the metal one was decades old so now you will have a nice new fence .
probably should have discussed it with you, its not worth getting upset about though

I dont have a problem with them , in fact i dont really notice cars or number plates as its not my thing .I was just wondering what the motivation would be to pay money for a number plate.i could think of better things and alot worse things that people spend money on

I dont understand the point in private registration plates , what is the reason for having one or wanting one ?,

I think i recognise those from tops tiles , i could be wrong though, plus it probably wont matter as they either wont have them anymore or the batch numbers will be different,
can you not take out shower area and do a different tile in that . Thats what i would do ,
gyproc then tank . doesnt matter if its moisture board if you tank, cement board is better than cyproc . use a decent cement based adhesive , grout then spray with grout protector , also use a decent silicone micromax or dowcorning

micromax sealant from tops is very good , profile tool to spread , dont leave soap or shampoo sitting against it as it creates standing water,

I’m afraid Brazil is a lesson on what happens when you have a CV Denier in charge & your inadequate health system gets overrun.

Almost thought you were talking about boris there.
uk still has more deaths per 100 thou,
worse that trump and bolsonaro is a bit depressing

Yes , people wont stick to rules if the neighbour five miles down the road is having more freedoms . i live 100 metres from argyle and work in argyle ,so does partner , however i live in wd , they had alot less restrictions last year ,i was asked to go for a pint a few times but it wasnt the right thing to do plus i thought it would be a beamer getting questioned ,
this summer if people are in different levels people will travel to these areas. especially if we are in this position and the english have no restrictions

when i say biggest rise , its in comparison to the week before , 15 cases is enough to put them up into 64 cases per 100 thou.
I would imagine it would drop away very quickly,
it will be very hard for any central belt la to stay out of level 3 when they introduce the shitty level system again especially since they have tightened it up

I could be wrong about clackmananshire, i read a few weeks ago that there was an outbreak in glen ochill and kilmarnock prisons , but that was a few weeks ago, the only reason i paid much attention was they were keeping west dumbartonshire from the top ,
for some reason wd dropped very very rapidly then falkirk and stirling went right up. biggest increase this week has been western isles, weirdly 50% of that authority has been vaccinated , the highest percentage in scotland

glen ochill prison in clackmanashire ?
east ayrshire was high last week or so due to kilarnock prison
they have been doing testing at the prisons ,because of outbreak , hence the reason the numbers are higher in certain areas ,

Did boris not mention the economy basically needing to open back up as it couldnt keep going the way its been going , or did i read that somewhere? . if thats true regardless of what we do it will have to go on the same timeframe , with furlough ending and not being able to close the border between us. mentioning specific dates was ridiculous .
i feel sorry for the a/e services on the 21st of june

there have been alot more people out and about for about a month or so , but the cases and hospital admissions are still dropping, maybe its a good thing , people getting about over a spread of time rather than all at once , but thats only if cases hospital admission and deaths continue to drop,
the fact that young kids have been allowed to mingle throughout is also good as going back to school will hopefully not create a big rise

the doctor we got told us the best foot wear was ski boots , but not really ideal for a school teacher ,
it went away over time and the pain is gone ,

some trades are not that fond of the drive round even though its not that far . i work round that way sometimes . its a nice area . not far from from helensburgh

The wife had the same thing, it went away after about a year maybe slightly more
went to a private clinic to get more advice at the time ,
wearing the most rigid sole shoe helped . over compensating on the other foot can pose problems

does his price include tanking , which it should , supply and fit not including tiles , £400 , depending on how decent the walls are , most plastered walls are not all the flat.
if he was recommended to you,
    get it tanked though ,

there shouldnt be a level system if they are not going to stick to it, west dumbartonshire should be level 2 on friday but i cant see it ,
roads still seem busy in level 4 and the retail parks are mobbed , all level 4 has done has stuck it to the small businesses and hospitality ,

Its also worked our by percentage of positive tests for age groups and percentage of positive tests
. I could be wrong but i think it needs to be under 5 percent positivity rate

westdumbartonshire is no far of level 1 but i dont think anywhere near glasgow could be dropped into that level
the shops will be manic next saturday when the level 4 is lifted

    dave28

West dumbartonshire was dropping when level 4 was introduced , Massively dropped in last couple of weeks , argyle has taken a slight rise outwith the outbreak at faslane , most of the cases in helensburgh and the rest spread between oban dunnoon and tarbert .
would prefer if west dumbartonshire and argyle were in the same level

    dave28

level 4 areas should be coming out next week what level do you think you are will go to .
I am west dumbartonshire we should be level 2, but i would guess we will be level 3 for one reason or another

andy kirk , can you send a link to the coram mira units that say not to use silicone .
proper worktops with splash back ? i am assuming you are talking about the small up stand, that also will need to be sealed as water can ingress in and damage wood.
out of interest how do you suggest you finnish of internal corners in shower where tile meets tile, or where tile meets shower tray ?..

    dave28
    Free Member

all of those manufacturers recommend sealant is used during install
. all in the exterior of screen.
and you need to use silicone internally where the tile meets the tray and the interior corners
    just use a decent silicone

the hollow sound would worry me. de coupling cant be a bad thing as it helps with lateral movement, nothing wrong with using clips, i have used them before mostly just to see what they were like,
after you made them take a few up at the start you would thought a bit more care would have been taken, especially when de spacing
it will be possible to lift tiles without damaging others , in fact i would demand that happen due too hollows, if it damges decoupling replace when needed , the slc should and thats not a defo should save the under floor heating

might be corrosion on the wires not carrying enough currant to the solenoid check that with multi meter,
. change the battery , if that doesnt help.short between the solenoid and starter if that works it will probably be starter motor,

tile onto an insulation board marmox orsomething like that .
if the slab is rough and not level . you would probably be wanting to self level it
how big is the area ?

    dave28

how heavy are you talking , bathroom cabinets are not usually that heavy,
a normal 8 or 6mm rawl plug through the tile works m maybe a little stixall at the same time
