I’ve tried to fit one from a diesel tino before and it didn’t fit, but thanks. I’ll keep an eye on eBay and scrappers and see if I get any replies from custom builders.

Yes. The big fat tube. It just isn’t produced anymore. Big chain garages can’t get their hands on one, and neither can small ones. Rang loads of scrappers and they just don’t see the car. I was wondering how difficult that would be to make. I can do oil changes and spark plugs but that’s as far as I’ve ever ventured. I’ve emailed the derby sports performance place recommended above.

Ended up going with spa cycles and it’s running well. Bitex hubs and lots of spokes. Thanks for recommendations .

I’ve glued it with silicone glue at the either ends where it connects. Assume it’s worn as engine moves. And also it’s 18 years old.

Two votes for spa cycles. Did email them the other day but haven’t had a reply. Might pop in Saturday as I’m Leeds based anyway.

Current wheels are only a few months old. I’ve been repairing them myself at home. I guess I could pay to have someone more experienced have a look. But then potentially left with the same problem if they simply can’t take the weight.

I’m using marathon plus 38s, they’ve plenty of life left. My bikes frame has a rear qr which I think is limiting my options slightly. Might have a look at the DTs. Have found some mavic all roads that might be better, but still have the 120kg weight limit. Was thinking they might be better quality however.

Tried them out recently in a set of sram codes. Felt good. Haven’t lasted particularly long but trails haven’t been dry since last year so not massively surprised.

Used cars have always seemed to be pot luck, even with the .gov MOT checker you’ve got no real guarantee it hasn’t just been waved through.

Think some places will let you send the AA out to go check it over, it costs. Never done it.

No bike wash, think there’s a new toilet/changing room block though, they’ve been re-doing lot of the car park. Would avoid hully gully if it’s been raining hard, collects loads of water.

Is usually pretty wet there most of the year, not overly muddy. Think the wettest place I’ve seen is penmachno, most of the trails appear to be streams.
