I have the racerguards on my commuter as its the only ones that fit. They are ok, but would prefer something a little more ‘substantial’ with a better coverage of the wheel. However they are better than nothing.

I would have said if she said “I am out and coming home at closing, (I am not sure when that is as I aint a big drinker :/ so maybe midnight) then staying at a friends until the next day is not on.

Just explain if she had planned on staying at a friends then she should have said so you could have told the nipper and put your own mind at rest that she is ok.

She is only 23 like, but she sounds like she does need reminding what her responsibilities are and not taking advantage of you. You clearly dont mind looking after the nipper, but if she said she was supposed to be back at X time, then she should have been. That way she grows your trust and maybe if she was more sensible / responsible in that way, you would do it more? Maybe you could go along them lines.

    d) its better for other commuters not being sprayed by her

SKS Raceblade or Longboard or the SKS Chromoplastic ones.

IMO A winter bike with guards look good.

Sometimes if there is some poor GPS data on the segment, e.g elevation, Strava bods will delete it.

    Lakes?

Hardknott, Wrynose & Blea Tarn all in a very small area. Then you have Kirkstone, The Struggle in easy distance to get there.

Thank god my money is my money and dont have to put up with this stuff. If my partner buys an expensive pair of shoes or jacket etc, as long as its via her money I couldnt give a toss.

If its out of the joint however then I do 😆

They tend not to have much choice of the speed they want to go if they want to keep ahead of the race and do all they need to do (eg. close of junctions for rolling road closure). Only real solution is to not run a rolling road closure and have coppers stationed on every junction shutting it for hours at a time, but not really likely in this country.
Besides, if you think that’s mental then try seeing it coming down off a major mountain, makes you realise that these guys are going faster than any reasonable car would come down these roads, but the support vehicles have to do that speed to keep up, makes it totally mental.
In both instances the only solution is, don’t let your child wander onto the road.

The leading Moto’s came through a good 20mins before the riders. This was on a climb which would be populated. No need to go full retard, the riders were doing 20km/h up there so I am sure 20mins in front riding at 80km/h is going to keep you ahead.

I have a cheapo Pro Bike Kit one. Was £15 and I have had no issues with it. Very breathable and top.

Corbyn doesn’t sing national anthem = burn him
Wiggins doesn’t sign national anthem = Hero, rising against the regime

Just shows how amateurish the support racing gets in this country

Why wasnt that part closed off by a moto rider?

Also I went to watch the stage into Colne on a climb. The moto riders including the police were flying up a very busy MTF climb like absolute lunatics. If a child had strayed into the road it wouldn’t have been nice.

I assume when you say buzzed you mean he rubbed your rear tyre? Sorry not down with the kids now’adays.

I assume the kid didnt do it on purpose and you just let him passed when you could?

Just forget about it and enjoy your ride.
