here in Norway, people are generally advised to take D3 the whole year if they are not getting enough sun (ie not active outdoors and covering up from the sun in the summer) or supplement a diet with as much oily fish as possible or fish oil

but really there is not enough sunlight up here for half of the year so its really important

for SAD – no

my wife has no sense of smell. It’s her Xmen power. Inherited from her Dad (who also cant taste) and he got it from his Mum and backwards. Our Son cant smell but as he’s only 4 it’s difficult to assess his range of taste.

They have no real issues with living with it cause they never lost it in the first place

but it seriously affects their relationship with food

once had some hash cakes with icing made with speed

We have a single heat pump heating up 2 open plan floors of ca.100m2

it’s set at 21 C at the moment

also have a wood burner for the evenings

and the other floor with the bedrooms and bathroom is heated by underfloor heatng

this is Norway btw so electricity is fairly cheap and renewable and wood burning is not a fashion accessory.

what he says. I am very qualified (Ph.D) and an ex Professor and now work in industry. I am paid well for my experience and skills but actually I can do the actual grunt work in about 1-2 hours per day

I think I have said this before but Vicky, please please try taking Vit D3 supplements – so many people here in Norway take them and are recommended
