i had similar problems 5 yrs ago in Switzerland. i got the run around cause the insurance company didnt want to pay out for an operation even though the hospital wanted to do it. Eventually the insurance company won and i got told that unless i was a topless model then it'll just have to do. i've got about 80-90% mobility and it hurts everyday, looks awful still and my shoulder is slightly rotated. But what the hell, it works.

i havent done the event but i've ridden in Åre and its fantastic. Its a great little "alpine" style town and pretty much the whole mountain is open for biking in the summer. the route is quite techy in places and i would guess for mortals it would take around 30 mins. but an intense 30 mins of downhilling. the are loads of bike hire shops in the centre if you dont want to take your bike with you. there's also a couple of ok pubs.

we have made the decision to not insure the dog. i think its a waste of money. insure things that you cannot afford to lose or pay out for – house, car, health. insurance companies are just playing on your fears. instead save the money you would give the insurance companies and put it into a saving account. in all probability nothing will happen to your dog that costs more than the money in the account.

i disagree TJ. The swastika is banned as a symbol of Nazism in Germany for obvious reasons and rightly so. So i think that anything that is deemed to be socially and morally unacceptable and propagates discrimination is a fair target.
