it really doesnt look like CRC is safe despite Mr CRC’s public statement

i am still waiting for the CRC IT bod who slagged everyone off for downloading p0rn to apologise.

I havent used CRC since being done in March. And to be honest my business has gone elsewhere now and is unlikely to go back to them.

their customer service is total shite and there are many other options out there

alas, everyone at work told me it was a fantastic policy so i didnt check. Even the other cyclists here are shocked by the limit and are all starting to panic about their trips away. Home contents doesnt cover it. All i can do is start legal proceeding against the airline. But they are ba5tards and i’ll be bashing my head against a wall here unless they are just trying it on. I can prove the bike was fine before. I have photos of me riding the thing over the finish line of the sportive and a photo of it packed away prior to returning

i started at 9.30 and by the time I got to the Koppenberg people were queuing at the bottom and then going up in groups of 10 or so at a time. It was very civilised and we all made it up without walking.

It was my first time and it was fantastic. But as said up there, the downhill and flat sections on the cobbles were brutal with water bottles flying everywhere. I thought my kidneys were trying to escape at one point.

Will do it again next year.

well i for one dont care about the 30 quid voucher. The hassle and inconvenience of having my card replaced and the pi55 poor PR means that i will take my business elsewhere. And as i live in Norway ordering from Bike24.de wont take any longer than waiting for CRC – and their service in recent months has been very slow anyway

hopefully right. but it would still be satisfying for us to get an apology from this person

get some swiss friends, learn a bit of german and start going to some decent pubs that the expats and tourists dont find. I recommend the Total Bar.

i lived in Zurich from 2002 to 2007 (now in Norway). Best city in the world and a brilliant place to live. The cost is not so high to be honest when you consider the low tax on salaries. There is some excellent riding on the ridges surrounding Zurich. Uetliberg in particular is great (go to youtube, there used to be a good vid of a group riding down the main downhill trails). I would happily move back there if it werent for the Norwegian missus and great job here in Norway.

similar issues here. I’m doing the tour of flanders sportive in 6 weeks. Unfortunately its -12 here this week and currently 15 m/s wind. disaster for trying to ride.
