luckily for me my job pays for a yearly MOT at a local private clinic – and before anyone asks it’s totally confidential – blood and piss works, all the usual checks and questions and cause Im over 50 I also get to be fisted and have my prostrate tickled – which is a nice bonus

A treat for me is to have it alone – i.e. without a 5 yr old causing mayhem in the area

One thing that helps here in Norway is the main garage brand (ex Statoil and now called Circle K) have a deal where you buy a coffee mug with a lid and you get free coffee from any of their petrol stations for one year. But a new mug each Jan.

although to be fair, and I applaud everyone’s efforts, individual contributions like these have a very small impact. And if anyone flies abroad on vacation then that totally trashes any “saving” you may have made on anything else. Real impact must be forced by government on business and consumers

but I still try cause it makes me feel better about myself

Already try and buy local food only but could go hunting and fishing a bit more

Only eat meat once a week as is

but everyone is right about the plastic horror

do as much “upcycling” as possible

Ive moved around the world too much and met too many people.

The mates I had when I grew up still live in the UK and I’m in Norway so we don’t see each other much. And over the last 10 years the spark of friendship has faded

    Congrats

Another old Pappa here. Was 46 when my son was born – 5 years ago. The Norwegian wifey is 10 years younger then me so Ive got a ready made nurse for when I’m totally worn out – about 5 years I guess

with decent wood flooring it doesnt feel cold at all. You could even put some hot water heating under it if you really wanted.

Permanent Waves is still one of my favourite all time best albums – probably cause it was the first Rush album I bought when it was first released.
