Post Brexit I think I’ll be too embarrassed to visit Europe even if allowed.

Aren’t these the usual way that road bikes mount rim brake calipers ?

Mega popular here in Liverpool via some kinda Council backed new startup company – they’re limited to 10mph I think so not too much bellendery can be accomplished.

ta for replies…ah decisions…decisions. I’m going to give some of the fancier brands a try over the weekend to see if there’s any actual difference in taste and they tend to be glass…else will give SodaStream or a derivative thereof a go.

OP – I was in the same boat as you 6 months ago – Virgin contract about to expire and therefore monthly cost to be doubled. I just phoned them and said I can get BT for £25 so I’ll cancel – they said “ok no probs how about a new contract staying at £25 pm”

I’ll add that to my reasons to buy a compressor I don’t really need.

I’m with stevextc on this – its one of those things I really want but not sure exactly why

Its funny how small things can make a big difference – installed an outside hot water tap – makes cleaning so much nicer

They’ll be a big push to move to more home working – my company is up £10m by not having to pay for travel / hotels etc – guess it will depend on how much face to face the client wants though.

+1 for G7 Power – well pleased with mine – can run a nav app (OS / Kamoot) on it all day long without gasping for power towards the end of the ride

Yes I’m with franksinatra on this

I initially thought it was a bit harsh – he appeared to be trying not to use racist terms and then apologised.

But, in his position he should have been so well prepared – fully briefed before hand, rehearsing , dry running any replies with his team etc etc

To just blunder in and wing it, very badly, does kinda mean he’s not fit for that position – especially as you read further into his previous history

As previously stated though, he’ll probably just be replaced like with like.

+1 for the Polaris AM Enduro – bought one last week (PSA on here – ta :) ), used first time over the very showery and windy weekend – was just bril. It’s pretty damn water resistant, there were a fair few big showers and it kept me dry. Total mega bargain for £40 (reduced from £90) from Polaris.

I tend to use neoprene socks – you can get some quite thin ones – that way you’re not bothered about them getting wet – when it gets properly cold I then go to winter boots. I’ve also just ordered some of those rubber swimming socks to try over normal socks…

thin neoprene booties instead of socks = not bothered about water ingress then add on neoprene outers = toasty

ayjaydoubleyou – yes that’s the exact helmet I have ! yeah no wasp would get through that :)

    darkroomtim

hmmm…old helmet was MIPS, got new one without, 2nd time out big wasp went through the large holes and had multiple stings on the head – reckon that MIPS sieve like structure would have stopped it :(

Conti Terra Speeds for me – superb rolling resistance (or lack of it) – no good for winter mud though so will need to swap over to something else.

CdF 50 looks properly nice – might be tempted next year – have a 2016 Day One as a winter bike – still going strong despite little maintenance love

Yep I have the classic – use through winter on local training muddy ride – just hose it off and let drop dry outside then let fully dry inside – tis great
