It was pick up only maybe the buyer was only in the area on that one day for work or passing on holiday given that he wasbuying something 300 miles away?

Then you would check it was ok to pick up on that day before bidding. That is why eBay has a contact the buyer function 🙄

Oddfellows is chic, central and has a better vibe than lots of other places

I’d avoid staying at Oddfellows at the weekend (hence my earlier post) as you can hear everything from the bar below, which is open until 2am. Lovely rooms and great food but I couldn’t sleep until the DJ finished, and I’d had ‘a few’. Proper loud.

Friends stayed at Dragonfly and rated it.

Clearly not. As I observed, she looks 12 and as a none paedophile all I see when looking at the pics is a young girl mountain biking. FFS, I’d be a little more than ‘sad’ if I was looking at those photos and thinking ‘hot’. The ‘Your Honour’ comment was an inference you may find yourself in hot water should you pursue a relationship of an adult nature.
    You bit. ha ha!

    Seriously though, you sicken me.

And you’re perving over her, you sad, sad individuals.

As the father of two ickle girls, I’ve learnt to embrace the X Factor as I have no choice. Why fight it?

I’m with you Binners, after running record shops for many years I used to think X Factor was the root of all evil. As I’ve mellowed with age I can now watch it, and find it weirdly enjoyable though I would never, ever listen to the various contestants music through choice. Weird.

I still think it would be an enhanced viewing experience if the loser each week fell through a trap door onto rusty spikes.

I guess 30-40% and they pay at 30-60days on invoice if they are cheeky?

You are getting profit mixed up with margin Hora. How long would an LBS run by the STW masses stay in business do you think?

A range of niche brands no-one has heard of, a free workshop, parts cheaper than CRC / Merlin and Hora as Finance Director mixing up profit and margin. And it’d be closed at the weekend because the staff would be out riding.

What’s the shop’s profit on an Ibis Mojo frame?

Nowhere near as much as you think and even less if they hadn’t charged him a tenner to remove a crown race?

Les Arcs is a vast area, runs to cater for all abilities and great off piste opps higher up. Last year the conditions were fantastic in late Jan and we have booked again for this year we enjoyed it so much. Loads of good restaurants and bars but its seems to be an older crowd in general so no groms causing mischief.

If you go week commencing 31st Jan you could even meet me for a beer! How are things any how? I’m back up North now, I couldn’t resist the pull of ‘proper’ riding any longer!

Used mine around Llandegla today, once bedded in they are a seriously good brake. The hose length was perfect for me, though they neglected to put any caliper bolts in the box and also supplied an post to IS mount. I’m sure the set I ordered was supposed to be post to post.

On a seperate but related note I went into Sixty Nine Cycles in Chester today for an adaptor and said missing bolts and would recommend any local riders check it out. Nick couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful and it is a shining example of what a modern LBS should be. I won’t be using anywhere else in the future. His coffee machine should be working soon too!

I think he might be Welsh. Rarebit of bad news as mainly the classifieds are a good place to source cheap bits.

I didn’t expect them to be here yet, but the way I interpreted the email you had 24 hours to cancel, then would receive a confirmation if you still wanted to go ahead. I’m probably worrying about nothing, but if I missed the boat I want to source alternative brakes before this weekend.

Has anyone heard anything since the initial order acknowledgement email? the email stated that the order will be confirmed via email but I’ve heard nothing back as yet. I’m probably worrying unduly.

Dirt is my favourite mag as well. I think Factory Media are pretty good sports publishers all round really, as my favourite snowboard magazine is Whitelines.

Ah, ok. My brother and sister in law live in Espoo and Vantaa respectively. My In Laws live in Finnish Lapland – Rovaniemi and own quite a lot of forestry land further North. I am contemplating looking into running a 24hr race around mid Summer in Lapland. I think a 24hr race in 95% day light would be quite novel.

The Edge seem to have a limited range of parts in stock compared to the Bike Factory. Add to that the Bike Factory price match the web and it has become my first choice. I’m going to give sixtynine bikes a go for a set of Hope Hoops as I’ve hear good things.

I’ve just remembered why I stopped using the Edge. I went in for chamois cream and was told they don’t stock it. Which was fair enought but then he continued to tell me chamois cream was just an Assos lead trend!

Stussy used to be cool back then as well.
I first encountered Stussy in about 1992, I was 12 and this American kid at school had absolutely loads of it.

I couldn't afford it until I went to sixth form college by which point it was even more wildly expensive. Funnily enough, I'm wearing one of their ubiquitous signature tee shirts right now.

I've still got 5 of their tee shirts, two of which I've had for 14 years now. I bought a sweatshirt earlier in the year too in some shop in Leeds, it was silly money, but I'm a self confessed streetwear label whore especially where Carhartt and Volcom are concerned.

The first time I spent in excess of £100 on a single item of clothing was a Stussy jumper. It shrunk in the wash the first time I washed it (my fault, it stated it was hand wash only butn I thought it would be ok!).

Don't Suntour make the forks for some of the other brands?

They certainly used to make some Marzocchi forks (the lower end stuff), not sure about any others.
