But just perhaps somebody in the ofice who decided to plan it on the back of a coffee cup stained bit of paper, should have realised it had absolutely no chance of ever working properley, taking a roundabout away and creating a multi laned cross roads with 2 dual carrigeways feeding into it, on a restricted site, isnt going to work.

I will never understand what was so wrong with the old roundabout that means it was vital to cause 6 months chaos, and who knows how much money spent on a solution that will never be as efficient to drive across as the old version.

I’ve just entered. It will be my first race for about five years and the first time my three year old will watch. I’m a bit of a hero to her, so if everyone can let me win, it would be greatly appreciated.

The Bay Horse at Canal Foot is very good, home made bread and terrines are particularly good. Cracking view of the estuary to boot.

Me Too is terrible. My eldest watched it when she was young and even she got sick of it after episode 3, think they only ever did one series because it was so disliked. It’s shameful that it was filmed in Newcastle.

Edit: No it seems they did 2. Dear God.

Why is Granny Murray a relatively young woman? I can’t make my mind up who is the biggest irritant, the headmaster or the train buffet carriage guy. I love my train indeed.

I REALLY wanted a Tioga Disk Drive after Tomac became my hero. They sounded ace.

An article in STW about how they disappointed so many of their readers and forum members might annoy them a bit!

    How would that work then?

Plastics and Rubber Weekly – the title has potential obviously but I’ve never found any rubber wear in it yet…

Pfft. British Plastics and Rubber is much better…

Why do you want it more compact?

Spurious reasons at best. I’m a new driver and our drive only takes one car and parking on the roadside is at a premium.

Still would be going for a secondhand Mondeo ST TDCi, same sort of money you are spending with more space and a more powerful yet economical engine.

We already have a bigger car though, in a Saab 9-3. I know I’d get more space, but we are looking for a car that is slightly more compact, but still big enough to accommodate our two year old.

Hmmm, thanks everyone for your input. Clear as mud then. After a couple of recommendations for the Civic (which I have always loved the look of) I have realised it is actually well within budget, furthermore the 1.8 VTEC will actually be just as economical as a diesel focus, taking fuel prices and anticipated mileage into account. The insurance difference between group 6 and 9 is negligible as well. Does anyone own a new shape 1.8 VTEC Civic, and what are your views?

Off to Penmachno shortly. Unfortunately I can’t find the 20mm adaptors for my wheels so I will have to wait to christen my new forks.

Neil, sorry to hear your feeling under the weather, though I had noticed on FB. I can assure you I certainly did think of you as a friend when I lived in London, and would have loved to have seen more of you if things like babies and moving 300 miles North hadn’t gone and spoiled it!I can put you in touch with a couple of the Dulwich Paragon riders who like a bike ride and a beer if you want?

By the way, drop me a line and come up to Chester for a weekend. It always good to get out of the city for a while. The only condition is you bring the ti 456. I’m not buying this ankle thing and besides, surely even with a bad ankle you can manage Llandagla 🙂

I’ve been deliberately run over after an altercation at a set of traffic lights. I was fractions of an inch away from my head being driven over by a following van. There was £300 of damage to my bike and I was covered in scrapes and bruises. Luckily someone had witnessed it all and noted the car number plate (which had sped off through a red light). It went to court and she got a six month ban and had to pay £150 damages. Not even enough to cover the damage to my bike. This unfortunately is societies attitude to cyclists.

+2 for Dakine. I ended up purchasing a pair as I had left my SixSixOnes at home. I haven’t used the SixSixOnes since.

LOL, how is that for polarised opinion. My Lockout works fine BTW. Mine is the 2010 version.

I’ve got a Tora SL on my Kona Blink HT. TBH I had it in mind as the first upgrade I was going to make, but after riding it I’d struggle to justify an upgrade. The action is silky smooth, it tracks well and the damping seems really sorted, its much nicer than my old Fox Float and the Manitou Nixon I have on another bike. I’ll probably ride it into the ground and then get something a little lighter which to me is its only drawback. Fantastic budget fork.

    Recorded it at 11.
    Got the tour of turkey!
It’s always a gamble to rely on Eurosport.

The same thing happened here! The wife went out for a run, I cracked open a beer, pressed play and got the last 22km of some second rate road race.

Nice pics Samuri, I love Verbier.

We were in Les Arcs the week before last, and the conditions were getting a little bare and icy on piste, and there was very little off piste that wasn’t tracked out or hard. Hopefully the conditions improve soon as I’ve heard lower resorts are really struggling now.

make sure the scrote opens up the garage door to find you taking him mum from behind as she bends over the pushbikes he was so keen to steal.

If you really want to mess with his head, let the little scrote catch you taking his dad from behind.

I think ours were a waste of money really. Our tutor came across as a little preachy and anti pain killers and very pro natural birth (we later found out she was a partner in a natural birthing centre) and we never really clicked with the others in the group, though this was mainly down to location (we were in London and no-one really lived in the same area as us). It all felt a little forced to be honest, and on the day I think natural instincts kick in anyway.
