I quite like some of the clothing. Would be nice for a chilled ride.
    But £18 for a puncture repair kit…

And a multi tool and tyre levers (albeit steel ones) to be fair.

I’m in! I’m hoping a nice early race will kick start my fitness training for the Mega in July. Can anyone disclose last years course?

I would prefer using two cans on a length of string to communicate than ever consider a BT ‘service’ again. Our issue wasn’t resolved after a year of trying, we gave up and vowed never to go there again.

We have local actors watch our favorite tv programs and then reenact them in our living room 24 hours later. This way we don’t need a TV but we do have to be careful of social media to avoid spoilers.

Aaron Gwin rode on the MT3’s in the World Champs
When? DT Swiss 240 in all the pics.

I just went back to check the Facebook post. Aivee have uploaded a number of images of Gwin’s bike with a comment which I thought said he was using Aivee hubs, but on reflection I think it says he is not using their hubs, which is a little strange as a marketing strategy!

You can see the post on their timeline Aivee[/url]

I’ve been running Aivee hubs for over a year now, and I’m very impressed. Aaron Gwin rode on the MT3’s in the World Champs.

Damn this thread, just made in impulse eBay purchase. Its a bit of a wreck but I suspect it will go the way of Nach’s Dyno 8)

Thats a lovely Redline up there ^.

    Great pic Euro!

Its all getting a little Sports Direct isn’t it? I can’t think of one of the brands they have acquired that comes near to what they were (in either innovation or quality terms) before they were acquired. Thats not to say they are not a decent enough product, it just seems a shame to differentiate between brands merely with a paint job.

The future of downhill mountain biking – in our humble opinion. We’ve tested this out on some pretty gnarly hills and the results are “who put tarmac on the downhill section?” – Translated to “That ride was so smooth, I’m pretty sure I dreamt it.”

Yep, we’re developing a 26? loopwheel, with disc brake mounting, for mountain bikes. We plan to launch it in 2017.

If you’d like to be one of the first to receive news about loopwheels for MTBs, sign up to our MTB mailing list.

Really?? The future of downhill mountain biking with an image of a soft tail mountain bike with a mudguard fitted?

26″ wheels too, they will sell well when they launch in 2017.

I know endurofactory, he has no affiliation to either, he does race lots of enduros though so he has a good perspective,
he is full of opinions, most of its bollox, but there are some gems in there, sometimes

Well thats good to hear. I just hope the series can either coexist peacefully or come together somehow using.

Neil of Redkite has been busy setting up a national Enduro series for a year without keeping tabs on his Mondraker series with very low entry’s?
No idea why brands would consider such a small promoter taking his eye off the ball?

Mondraker UK must be so pleased there investment into a series is wasted for Neil to work hard on a national.

That some assumption right there. Some people can multi-task you know.

Its an interesting two posts from a new member though. One promoting Si Paton and one sledging Neil at Red Kite. An agenda perhaps?

Trying to not look at this or I will order a set of the carbon 26″ wheels for £300 or one of the Stans sets for £150.

I rode the Mega this year on carbon rims, including a shortish section on a flat tyre up top (where its rocky!). No problems at all.

Someone posts wtd ad, I’m a scammer, I reply to the wanted ad via email claiming to be someone who posts lots and looks like they have a decent reputation – let’s say ‘njee20’, buyer trusts me as a result and pays via PPG. Job done…

But why bother sending them anything?

I’m happy enough. I’m sure I only had one issue left of my sub and I’m being offered 6 issues of MBUK. I picked up a copy to read en-route to the Mega and was surprised by how much of the content was of a decent, engaging standard.

Another ex-workshop and bike shop manager here. If the usage stated by the OP is correct it would have been repaired FoC in my stores. the laughable £140 “good will” offer sounds suspiciously like profiteering from an unsuspecting punter to me too.

We have a cockapoo. He’s 8 months old and was bought from a reputable breeder in Cheshire. I’ve never had a dog before and its been a steep and difficult learning curve but I am so glad we have him in our lives, even though sometimes I could throttle him. He is quite large for a cockapoo, not far off retriever size and needs a decent amount of exercise every day, but I like this about him. His temprament is great and he’s very loving, he is very patient with our two year old forever pulling his ears and dragging him around. He’s great.

Ive been considering trying to start up a magazine in a similar vein to Dirt for a while. Maybe now would be the best time to do it.

I remember picking up issue 5 or 6 (can’t remember which exactly) at the age of 15 – it had a review of the original Spooky Metalhead and an interview with Paul Roberts (AKA Grotbags). It was amazing and focused on all the things i loved about MTB at the time.

Back then the two month wait between issues was excruciating!

Ive got some ideas on content but any suggestions would be greatfully recieved!

    > they may have oil wells but can’t refine it in bulk
    > low oil prices mean the bottom has dropped out of the black market for oil

So currently they have no money, soon they will have no food. Attacking them (and looking at their social media information) just fuels their extremist narrative.

According to the Brooking report linked earlier in the thread, IS are making $2 million a week smuggling oil from Iraq and Syria, and are worth approximately $2 billion.

Unfortunately funding doesn’t seem to be an issue for them.

I’m in. Completely forgot about it, saw this thread and logged on to find it had sold out, but a note suggesting trying back in 10 mins in case people hadn’t completed entries. I refreshed the page a few times and got the registration page complete with someone else’s details. Deleted them, entered mine and bobs yer uncle. Sorry if it was you I bumped out.

We stayed at a gite near Bellac this Summer, there is enough to keep you entertained if you don’t mind driving. Limoges itself is a nice city with some good restaurants. We were very close to Mont Blonde and the riding was ok, I took both the road bike and mountain bike but tended to ride the mountain bike most. There are several VTT trails around Mont Blonde including some blacks. To be fair the riding was pretty good, most the trails are farm tracks interspersed with singletrack sections and some good fun downhills. I rode there most days for an hour or two while the family had breakfast and found some cheeky stuff.
