You are not doing the wrong thing, it is ok to walk away if the seller will not co-operate. i also see his side though, I wouldn't hand out my address to a stranger who knows I have a £1k bike…
Quirrel is right, get smone you trust locally to look at the bike..

    whats flatland?
They do have a cheese sound to them, first time I heard hilltop hoods I thought it was a joke and I laughed soo hard…They really are growers tho and they have cult status in australia, especially adelaide…check out the calling album, but defo cheese warning…

Isn't it a total load of sh1t that these scrotes can get away with this…
you can get a conviction for being drunk walking down the street but these guys mug people and steel bikes and get away with it…
They just have no respect and no fear of the law…
I honestly think they should bring back the punishment of 'a good kicking'. The judge in court should be able to say 'I know that we can't pin this on you, but you have oviously done it, so we are going to take you out the back and fill you in for a while'
Might actually work, although a little harsh :?
edit: and well done for getting your bike back, I do believe they are more than the some of parts and this one wasnt ready to say goodbye!

I have just gone for a ride at whinlatter (forgot how bloomin far away it is!). The other thing I notice with a longer air fork is that its all or nothing. No small bump movement, but then when going off drops, the whole fork compresses and trys to throw you over the bars :?

I hear you jedi…I have a new 5 spot and the air shock ain't cutting the mustard. I think I ride quite hard, but I am also heavy, and the high pressure I have to run means that the air shoch tends to lose small bump sensitivity. It also has fast rebound, even on the slowet setting. I am reluctant to spend the cash on a coil, and also the weight factor butit would solve many of these issues.

it is very hard for fox to recommend the right pressure for a fork and weight, it really is only a guideline.
The main thing is that it will change from bike to bike and rider to rider.
stem length and head angle really affect the amount of weight over the front of the bike and how much you load up the front end.
Even with the perfect set up, you should never or very rarely use all the travel and bottom out, it really is good to only use 80 or 90% of the travel

I have had allsorts in the past and have ridden most bike brands, hardtail and full sus…
The turner suspension is very active to bumps while staying rigid under pedaling power. It takes square edge hits very well and has a low centre of gravity… I am yet to get the set up right but love the bike so far.
I have the 2009 model and the cable routing is slightly different, I think the bearing bolts have changed also to allow more grease into the links.
I think you will love the up & down post and I have heard good things about the fulcrums…

Is it the fit model? If so you could lower the air pressure and increase the low speeed compression dampening, and this will make the fork softer through all the travel, but running less sag…

Dude, you should try riding in australia…Over these they have a slightly different magpie, they are bigger and much more aggressive. In the spring to summer months they will 'swoop' anyone or anything which goes within about 2 miles of the nest site. often, the first you know is when you hear a loud clapling noise, which is the wings hitting together as they try to take your head off, they will actually hit into your head and try to take you out. This actually puts me off riding certain trails in the adelaide hills when I visit the area….hardcore…
