I have a spare Yari 160mm 29er fork. I paid £140 and if anyone wants to collect it from Stockport it’s theirs for what I paid.

Yeah, not sure how that image really shows much about cycling.  Trek are relocating from the total fitness store near Wilmslow to the old Sainsbury’s in Bramhall…

We had a woodcock fly into the window a little while back. It looked to be a goner but started to make a recovery. We took it to the local sanctuary and they told me it was fit and released the following day. Such a beautiful bird.

That looks a good ride there faff… I was getting lost down that way the other week… Your Wednesday rides open to all? Were you riding that on a cross bike or MTB?

[“We all know the the big problem that shops and distributors have with online selling from shops which specialise in selling outside their own territory at low cost.

This problem would disappear if the prices of the products were equal, so the customers wouldn’t have any interest in buying abroad what they have at home.

Obviously, the shops who sell online outside their territory are aware of this situation and know what to do… They will always have to sell cheaper to have demand and sell more than the rest of the shops.”]

    EPIC FAIL

This guy must be a simple, a couple of sandwiches short if you know what I mean… If he had any idea or education about market forces or the rules and laws of trading I am sure he would rethink his rant on pricing. Not to mention that everything he suggests is completely illegal regarding price fixing and EU trading…

I have just fitted some to my 5 spot, went for 2.25 ust on my 819 rims…Was very impressed at llandegla today, way better than the ust fire xc’s I had on during the summer…
On todays performance they are one of the best tyres I have ever used, although I am not expecting them to last long!

I think Turner were forced to change design away from horst as they no longer had a contract to run the design, they then looked around and designed the frame around the DW link.

I’m not planning on riding in a lot of mud on the full suss, so mostly for trail centre use…I guess when its wet and rocky everything is slippery, but you want the most grip possible when its like that…From the sounds of things running non ust sounds like a good option…

I have been running fire xc ust all summer, but they were a bit silppery in the wet last week…thinking of nobby nics, or high roller 2.35, maybe rubber queens… There is way more choice for non ust though and with sealent it may just be a winner?

It is hard for staff too though…I am mates with a guy who works for them, and he had a chav walk in and ask 'do you have one of them s's…' to which he said ' s's, what do you mean specialized or somthing' the chav said 'nah man, I need one of them s's…'
Turned out after about 5 mins of chav talk my mate worked out that he wanted a rear mech….ahahahahaha….'one of dem s's blad…'

I agree completely with Elfin…Some little punk in the shop on minimum wage is not likely to know everything about bikes…I think any shop selling any kind of bike is doing a good job.If more people owned and used bikes the world would be a better place…
But I am sure it can be well annoying when things go wrong…

Just do what you would always do with a mate…Hang out, have fun, joke, dance drink…whatever a mate needs…
When she wants to talk about it and have a shoulder to cry on, do it…
When she wants to forget about it and go out and get smashed, do that too…x

Tinsy, its got nothing to do with the length of the fork when bottomed out…Its the shift in weight and momentum. If you hit a rock and compress your fork on a short travel firm fork, you will move forward a little and probably then roll over the obsticle…On a longer travel fork, you will compress the travel a lot further and potentially go over the bars…I managed a good one at glentress this weekend…

There is the curse of the long fork to consider…Its ok when you hold your speed through fast trails. The problem comes on slower, steep and technical trails when the front fork bottoms out and you lose forward momentum. You will then find yourself getting the old arse over tits over the bars and into the ground…this problem is much less with a small and stiff fork…

You can only take it back for a refund within a reasonable time which you have to inspect the goods, which you are well within. I would phone trading standards and get a reference number. Take the bike back to the shop and leave it with them. state you want a refund and that you are not taking to goods.
Then buy it from a better shop.

Depends on your riding style…If you want a bigger frame to eat the miles, the 19 will be good, but if you want it smaller and chuckable off road, you would want the 17"
