Ah, so it requires engineering kit, maybe minor but not in my shed. Just keep hassling the shop then

I dare say you could try to rethread it with just an M5 nut and a spanner?

I'll try and explain again, use an old screw in bike pump adaptor, pull the threaded bit out with pliers, and rethread to M5 thread, you can go over the old thread.

Oh sorry forgot to say, to pull out the screw bit, squeeze the thing that goes around the fabricy bit of the tube to loosen it with pliers and then pull it out after a couple of minutes of squeezing it.

For the screws I used two old bike pump adaptors like this and used a tool to thread over the original thread to make it M5 thread. I had to pull it out of the rest of the tube too.

I know this is going to sound silly but how shall I come across with the mail to CRC?

I was thinking of something like; "I recently ordered an Avid Juicy 3 front brake from you, and I have found that in the position the lever came in, the lever pulls back nearly to the bar, about 1-2cm away, and when they are this far back, the bite is terrible, what do you advise I do?"

Anything I missed, should change etc.?

Thanks guys, I will give that a go on Saturday, what's the worst that could happen? ;)

Is it worth doing it myself (bearing in mind this is my first time) or shall I take it to the shop?

I ordered mine on the 31st and it came yesterday, it's great! It did take about a week before it changed from 'Waiting for Supplier' though.

I managed it on a Bullwell BMX track and I think I hit the last 'bump' of a double and went over the bars. I landed on my head and body and split my full face. I can't really remember because I passed out as soon as I landed and woke up a few minutes later.

But yeah thanks I'm recovering quite well I can ride around the street but nothing proper yet.

How did you do your back?

I'm still off the bike and off work after crashing on the 20th june, fracturing my spine in two places and having 2 ti rods screwed to it spanning across 6 vertebrae (t3-t8) to stabilise it and a bone graft chipped from my hip, definitely not fun.

Snap with that date, except I ruptured my spleen, I'm off the bike for 6 months, how long are you off for?

Apparently the neighbours son realeased their turantla in the garden and it hasn't been found…

Nothing to worry about, someone's cat has probably eaten it. :D

    I'm currently wearing this one:

Very nice t-shirts. Nice and soft and sizing is normal. Highly recommended

I have that one too, and I even crashed in it and it's still fine :-)

I was thinking of doing the bits around Much Wenlock (Wenlock Edge) because it's within driving distance.

This has happened to me with degreasers, so I just did it on the drive instead. :-)

Surfr, I never got mine either. Maybe it just takes ages for them to send them out?

Well, it doesn't connect even to the computers connected to ethernet, so I really don't know why. The signal strength is fine when it's up.

The annoying thin is, is that they charge some ridiculous amount just to call their helplines, even if they provide your phone as well. :?

Do they count if they are things we keep as pets? If so I have plenty more. :D

I just shove my bike in the back of my KA, fold the seats down and whip the front wheel off.

I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve crashed, my most recent involved rupturing my spleen, which means 6 months off cycling! :(

It just takes a split second for your mind to wander but it can stop you cycling for so long…

What size is the bolt used to thread the aquarium pipe ?

I would also like to know this as I have everything, but I am unsure what bolt to use.

    Thank you.
