Saw the crash today was it karma for spending the day chilling/sulking at the back? Or did Dave pay the CCC rider to take him out? 😉

I think Team Sky did a great job for Froome today and don’t think Wiggins would have added much. Tomorrow will be interesting for sure.

Besides for a rider claiming to be in the same form as 2012 Wiggins didn’t exactly set the Tour De Suisse alight today did he? Can’t help thinking that interview with the BCC was more to do with PR and image than a desire to ride the Tour.

Surely the giveaway was that Kevin Warwick aka Captain Cyborg was involved media give far too much credibility to “experts” without basic fact checking.

“as far back as 1991, Warwick was predicting “real life Terminators” within ten years.”

    Interesting from Matt Slater’s twitter:
“This really is last one on Froome/Wiggo (for a bit). Froome wanted to delay book until Xmas. He was persuaded otherwise.”
So Froome didn’t want to stir it up before the Tour.

It’s probably got a fair bit to do with shifting extra copies of his book, like anyone with something to sell giving the papers a story gets coverage and boosts sales.

Scarface (1983 version) not seen the original though so don’t know if that counts?

Last year I paid to get mine cleaned watched them do it, you should be able to take door off then unscrew it. Most of the grime you can’t shift may well be between the 2 panes of glass.

I’m no expert and only just getting back into yoga but it’s not so much about holding a set of poses as about how you transition between poses. If it’s not much of a work out then you need to work on how you transition might not be that well covered in a book better off with video or better still an instructor.

For example moving from downward dog to cobra when just starting out an instructor will have you drop to your knees first then arch into cobra later you’ll learn to do it as a Hindu push-up.

Yoga can be as much of a work-out as you want to make it.

I would take antimalarials if your stay is short term and you’re in malaria zones.
I grew up in Africa in Zimbabwe we only ever used them in the lowveld. When I was a lot younger we lived in Nigeria and didn’t bother. I did get it then and can still remember the 5 days with a double dose of injections to kill the parasites.

Could be a Compliance issue, there are products out there to handle the recording and archiving of skype but maybe the compliance lot don’t want the extra oversite so asked to pull it instead.

    I’d go with a Nokia 1020 but I’m biased.

I’d be job hunting even if the business survives the direct financial hit it’ll take* I wouldn’t trust the decision makers that either hired an incompetent/inadequate team or ignored advice.

Apologies for the slight highjack at US$246.50 well under budget but I’ve not seen the Bradley Watch mentioned before 1st time I’ve wanted a watch since I was 16. It’s designed as a tactile watch for the blind. Mine should arrive sometime in June not blind just love the design.

*awaits backlash having ignored previous mentions and price* 😀

During your trip will you be relying on police and army as your only protection or will you have any additional security? Do you have a good local fixer or is your expat colleague your only source of information? Does company have a contingency plan in place for kidnapping with regard to negotiation/rescue or will they be handing off to embassy at first opportunity? I believe there is such a thing as kidnap survival training which I believe covers preparing you for stress kidnapping and possible rescue research and request work sends you on it probably not going to be in time for this trip but useful for next time.

    Spoilers

I didn’t like the whole there’s an afterlife revelation I can’t think of a main stream TV show from the States that’s portrayed atheism without some big reveal that they were wrong all along. Sure they didn’t specifically suggest a god but they did pander to the idea that humanity is more significant and that there’s some cosmic meaning to it all that we’ll continue after.

Also Rust says in an earlier episode that mankind is an evolutionary mistake that we should all just die but that he’s too cowardly to do it himself. Then gripes about surviving saying he’d found his daughter so having discovered this afterlife with his daughter why doesn’t he top himself and embrace what he found? If he’s concerned that suicide won’t lead back to his daughter that suggests some sort of cosmic sorting system/god.

I didn’t mind that the investigation wasn’t complete just didn’t like Rust’s revelation.

It was just that last scene really I’d have prefered it without the uplifting note just feel it would be braver to end without it. I’d rather be left feeling slightly raw than feeling warm and fuzzy.

Sort of like how Disney sanitized Cinderella in the original tale the ugly sisters cut their feet down to size to fit the slipper but are given away by the blood and face a gruesome execution. I don’t want to get too specific cos it’ll give too much away but I felt ideas explored in earlier episodes were sanitized by the last scene.

Other opinions available and equally valid 🙂

I’ve watched episode 8 today and without going into detail spoilers etc but I feel let down.
Conclusion to the case was great I just felt that the post case mop up was unnecessary anyone else feel the same?

It’s been great TV but ending came off as Dexter weak (ok not that bad but weak) instead of Breaking Bad awesome.

My brother once told mum he didn’t recon much to some pate she’d made. Mum “What pate? Oh you mean the chicken bones and liver I ground up for the cat.”

Justified is very good Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins are both great in it.

Only show missing off the list is The Blacklist dunno if it’s out in the UK yet, kind of over the top but James Spader is excellent as Red.

Jackie’s slapstick fighting is great but Bruce is a bad-ass.

Wenzhuo Zhao (sometimes credited as Chiu Man-cheuk) and Jet Li are where it’s at though.
