Personally I wouldn’t go with the naming, caused me loads of issues, we had picked out my Grandads name, then my sister (who didn’t know), wanted to call her son the same name.

All I can say is keep your chin up, it’s pretty devastating, but it is more common that you think.

QR is maxle, so I suspect less likely.

Stem is good contender, bolts are daft torx things and never seem to tighten properly, might have to pick some proper hex ones up.

    Will try gear hanger too.

    Thanks

Why would you scratch the serial number off if you were counterfeiting? Sounds more like they don’t want things coming out of the side door of a factory somewhere.

That said, I am sure there are just as many stolen items with Serial Numbers scratched off.

I always find it happens with new tyres, takes a couple of inflations before they don’t lose any air. Ride might help distribute as others have said.

The missus is selling something £30 or best offer, someone offered £12, she said no, so they offered £15, she countered with £40 bit ****ed off with the low offers. They then came back and said “I think you are ripping people off, these are selling for £30”.

THAT WHY IT’s ON FOR £30

Overheads will impact speed but “losing 20%” is rubbish.

As spooky says, most internet will start by bashing through full speed, then it falls over, then it trains to deal with what speed the router will accept without silly number errors. Turning the router off can mess that up.

Am I the only one thinking buy a new TV?

They announced QLED at CES this year. It looks intersting, but not really going to be within budget any time soon.

Drac, you had to go past http://www.whathifi.com/lg/55ec930v/review on the way to finding your review?

Black levels in photos is unfortunatley a bit of a waste of time, firstly if you know enough about photography the levels your camera sets (or you set) are probably more in play than actually quality of TV. And even if I sent you pictures of my OLED, any LCD that you are viewing them on can’t show the levels anyway!

As I said before view them yourself before buying and see what you think, but have a proper viewing, in a darkened environment, without the mode set to vivid!

Asked a woman twice what her surname was the other day, then asked her to spell it, turns out it actually WAS Rainbow!

I have seen very few reports of image retention or screen burn. There were very early OLED that had limited lives, but we are well into the tens of years life expectancy these days.

Brightness is one thing but for viewing pleasure the difference between a true black and a grey (no matter how dark) when viewed in a darkened room is dramatic. Even with silly brightness figures, that you wouldn’t enjoy, contrast ratios aren’t comparable between OLED and LCD.

I would say have a test viewing with real life examples of what you watch (Not animation). See what you think comes out on top.

Personally, I think OLED is the future (fairly sure CES just about agrees with me).

Whilst money wise it’s tricky to get OLED at this price point, I would go for something like an 55EC930 over anything else on the market. From a picture quality point of view, the black levels are beyond anything LCD can offer.

Might have to stray into the second hand market to get one within budget.

Someones confusing their Agnostics and their insomniacs? Not sure you can have an Athiest Anostic.

Gaggia Classic, Iberital MC2 Grinder I believe is still the defacto starter kit.

I would, and did, replace the steam arm with a rancilio one, non pressurise basket as well.

    Something like a roberts S1?

I suppose any DLNA speaker. The problem is you are talking about playing “direct from a NAS drive”. That doesn’t really exist, your previous TV played the files due to the NAS having a DLNA server inbuilt.

Anything with DLNA will do the task.

Bought a five with them on last year, never had an issue, 240 hubs, managed to snap an maxle on the hub but rims have been bullet proof.

Not sure I would pay the difference over a good set of alloy, but the bike was a good deal.

Depends what you want to do with it?

Just external storage, then get the cheapest that will share the drives in the RAID config you want.

If you want it for other purposes, then processor becomes a little more important, transcoding Plex for example, you might want something beefy.

“Fresh Coffee” – I need to know what’s fresh about it? Freshly grown beans? Freshly Roast? Freshly brewed? Freshly wiped my nob on your coffee cup?

ADSL bonding would properly join the two lines, but I think the provider needs to support it, and then you need to equipment that’s probably priced at commercial levels.

You could do it with a router and a clever NAT table, be a bit of a pig to setup though 🙁

I went OLED HD instead of LCD 4K, the 4K OLED was out of my price range, 99% of what I watch isn’t available in 4K and I get the benefit of decent black levels with whatever I watch.

Given the choice again (even though there is more 4K content now) I would still make the same call.

Couple of option you might not have thought about, calls via WIFI? I know it’s supported on Vodafone/Iphone not sure other carriers/devices support it.

    Signal booster?

    Virgin Media, last test said 12ms 195.36Mb / 12.3Mb

That said that was over wifi, I think it would be quicker wired.

Had it about a year and it’s been pretty bulletproof.

    2nd vote, MC2.

Very tuneable, and will definitely go fine enough.

Obviously you want a non pressurised basket (not sure if they are still providing this with the classic).

Personally I would swap that wand out too, but I have had mine a while not sure if it’s all still the same these days.

    Ask a question on every item they list;

“Is this item stolen from you neighbour like the dyson?”

Lift receiver, locate button that tells phone it’s off hook. Sellotape over said button. Ring phone 🙂

Key swapping on keyboard is a good one, once had to explain to a lass on the phone to the IT dept what we had done, she was going crackers “yes I am sure it’s the right password!”.

As for the consequences of not swapping it, clock my go out and need reseting when you start it up.

Boot order may get screwy (if different from normal, which is doubtful).

    Generally nothing.

I normally lower post, slide dropper to minimum insertion point and clamp on the bottom part of the dropper (not the stanchion).

    Never had an issue.

I echo what others have said, don’t move out, get legal advice, it doesn’t have to be fractious.

There will be surprises to come, I am sure people don’t break all the news and don’t be shocked if other things come out along the line.

A plan sounds good, but don’t be dictated to, if she wants to seperate and has already talked about where the children will live then I assume she wants you to leave.

You say she is happy for you to have the kids 3 days a week, I would expect her to be working those days, can she? How is she going to afford things?

She can’t force you out of your own home, she can legally change the locks, and you can legally break in (repairing damage at your cost). If she want’s a plan, then that plan has to involve you rehousing yourself and she needs to explain how that is possible.

Tell them, it’s not rocket science to make it half decent, I wouldn’t be weighing grinds or be talking about TDS etc. but a tweak of the grinder isn’t asking a lot.

Nothing winds me up more than the term “Fresh Coffee”, fresh what? Freshly grown beans, freshly roasted, freshly ground, freshly brewed? It means nothing to say fresh coffee.

Managed to get a cancelled appointment at the fracture clinic (perks of working at a hospital).

Not worried about the break said it’s very minor, physio booked for monday to sort dislocation.

    100% matched betting.

If you have no betting accounts, a little mathematical ability, it’s fairly easy to triple that in a few months.

Don’t get me wrong you won’t have any accounts left after that but easy money if you aren’t a complete numpty.

I have visited Stile Cop, although there were so many hard shelled full face riders around it looked like a star wars convention. The Red was a bit of a shock, when you think of a Red Trail like Sherwood Pines or similar, that was no ordinary red!

I do fancy another bash at the red and maybe CDL though, so that could be a winner.

I knew the monkey and Stile Cop was linkable, but didn’t realise it was that straight forward so thanks.
